Polished Pet Charm Pricing in Shadowlands

As we head into the final week of Beta for Shadowlands, we are taking a look at the (likely) finalized prices of battle pets. These prices have changed a lot during Beta, and may change again prior to launch. Some battle pets require additional currencies, however those won't be available until Shadowlands. Given Polished Pet Charms are obtainable on live, you are able to prepare right now for these pets!
Total Pet Charms Needed
The total amount of

is dependent on what Covenant you choose. There are eight battle pets that share Covenants. These are obtained through different methods, depending on the Covenant you are in.
If you choose the Kyrian Covenant, the total Polished Pet Charm cost would be

x5000. This is because the eight shared pets are purchasable for Polished Pet Charms.
If you choose any other Covenant or opt out of buying the mutual pets with Polished Pet Charms, the total Polished Pet Charm cost would be

x3000, however you will need to obtain the eight shared pets through other methods. These methods include different currencies, drops or crafting methods.

Suggested Polished Pet Charm Farming Methods
The most simple and easy method for farming Polished Pet Charms is to log on to as many alts as you can and do the Battle for Azeroth pet battle world quests that reward the Polished Pet Charms every day. Given the expansion is a few days away, this may not be enough time to get all 5000 (unless you have a whole army!), but it'll give you a head start.
