The biggest news here probably isn't the raid finder or the other tidbits, though those are all helpful--instead it's that they nerfed heroic Ragnaros yet again. There's no more geyser in phase four, which was ultimately the definitive deciding factor into a guild that killed it and a guild that didn't. Geyser was unforgiving, instantly wiping the raid for a player being a mere inch too close to another group; this is a huge nerf, so expect tons of people to go back to finish it (and maybe for loot and mounts!).
Raid Finder Tips
I think rather than making this a complaint thread about what people aren't doing, it may be helpful (as the OP started doing) to share some tips for people who maybe haven't ever had a chance to raid before, including what sorts of gear or items they should expect to bring or even the types of buffs they should be ready to apply etc.
What are the types of things anyone should do to be prepared to Raid?
What types of items should they have ready to use in their bags?
Should they bring extra to share or is it every man/woman for themselves?
What are the best sort of buffs, spells, or even abilities that should be "must use"?
Let's turn this into a helpful thread to guide people toward being successful in the Raid Finder.
I'll add in a few myself:
For healers, stay on target. It's extremely important that if you're assigned a particular target to heal, that you keep on top of it. It can be tempting to cross-heal (and sometimes it may be necessary) but if everyone stays on top of their healing assignments, everyone should (for the most part) pull through.
For those who can lead, feel free to volunteer to lead the raid. Mark your targets and set your assignments (even if it seems like a straight forward encounter.) You'll be helping people learn how to take on the more difficult encounters in the end.
For those following, don't argue with the raid leader if you can help it. If you're following, sometimes it's best just to follow and see how things go. If you need to question the Raid leader, try to do it discretely. No one likes to be embarrassed or called out.

Fall of Deathwing Available Later in Raid Finder
The Fall of Deathwing is not open just yet for the Raid Finder or Heroic. We plan to open this encounter up in approximately one week. We felt it was important to let more people get through the fights in normal difficulty, make videos, strat guides, update their mods, etc. before we let everyone take a crack at Deathwing. We’ll keep you informed when this part of the raid opens up for Raid Finder. Keep in mind that it’s required to complete the first half to be able to queue for the second, so don’t hold back!Neth's explanation was pretty straight forward..
Why would they let us, que for the end boss and kill him the first week, let alone the first day, of the patch?
If you have the patience and organization to go out the Raid on your own and get through the content for yourselves, then you can do so.
But with the ease of a simple button, and get there instantly with 24 other players who can easily carry you through it.. nah, Blizzard thought this through well and I'm actually glad we can't que for it yet. Otherwise, we'd have a bunch of trolls running around "wooooopie I can haz deathwing kill", though they didn't deserve it.
Really? Because it looks more like there was a bug or a problem and Neth is just sweeping it up for them. Notice when her (lack of) logic was challenged she didn't come back to the thread.
Deathwing was down on Arygos within 3 hours of the servers coming up on Normal, I don't see why LFR was gated but Normal wasn't. How is their answer, "We want you to practice medium difficulty so you can do easy difficulty!" in any way an intelligent statement? There are dozens of guides out for every encounter, including some heroic modes.
Many of the most important mods (which should NOT be in any way even considered when they're making decisions like this btw) were fully updated and up for download while the servers were still offline.
TL:DR, This answer makes no sense, period.
It wasn't the challenge to my "lack of logic" that kept me from returning to the thread. I do go home at the end of the day sometimes. There is no "bug or problem". It's also preferred that Deathwing's Death doesn't come so easily via the Raid Finder. We know people are eager to get in there and see the encounter, we just want to preserve the truly epic nature of the encounter for a little longer before we see people start putting him on "farm". We're not trying to keep anyone back or down or cause undo distress for those who really are looking forward to the encounter. It may be artificial pacing (in relation to the Raid Finder accessibility in particular), but we felt it was worth the extra wait time.
I don't want this thread to become an argument over who has the right to do what or who's more "hardcore" etc. It's simply what it is. You'll get to face Deathwing soon enough or (for those who have taken on Normal already), see him in Heroic soon enough.
Raid Finder Item Level Requirements
Did you really have to put the knife in alt/pug raids by setting the bar all the way up at 372? And without a "yes, we know what we're doing, we have 25 people, just let us queue into a raid with what we have" option? It was 365 in PTR. It would have been a little wonky with all 365 but still easily doable.
We're going to have to grind some alts out for tens if not hundreds of hours to get the gear we need for this bar. Please tell me this is some sort of joke.
The Raid Finder is designed to allow players who don't often have the time to commit to a regular raiding schedule a chance at seeing the latest content. With that said, we don't want players who might fall into this category to skip the new five-player dungeons altogether for the Dragon Soul raid.
Raid Finder is below normal and Heroic modes in terms of rewards and difficulty, but the new tier of five-player dungeons should still be stepping stones into the raid.
It shouldn't take the average player "hundreds of hours" to gear up for the Raid Finder version of Dragon Soul, as the Dungeon Finder will quite quickly ramp up your power and gear score.
Do you guys know Blizzard's reason for only having the raid finder used for Tier 13 content? I'd freaking love to be able to queue for Firelands since I missed all that when my guild broke up after 4.2 went live.
Implementing the Raid Finder was actually quite a monumental technical feat. We want all future raids to be designed with this third difficulty incorporated, but it'd take quite a bit of time and resources to retrofit the feature into previous raids. In an ideal world that would've happened, but the patch would not have come out this year. And that wasn't an investment we felt would really be ideal in the grand scheme of things.
Transmogrifying Classic Level 60 Sets
The items out in the world (Marshals, Grand Marshal’s, High Warlord, etc) that use the level 60 PvP art are un-transmogrifiable (including the item level 115 stuff that shares the name from Burning Crusade).
In Area 52 a set of vendors has replaced the PvP Vendors who used to live there. Grex Brainboiler, Krixel Pinchwhistle, Tini Smalls, Kezzik the Striker, Big Zokk Torquewrench, and Leeni “Smiley” Smalls. These vendors sell new, transmogrifiable versions of the classic armor to players who have the Feat of Strength for Legionnaire/Knight-Captain or higher under the old PvP system.
There was a bug with the Feat of Strength granting access to these items, but was hotfixed within the last couple of minutes. If you meet the criteria log out and back in and you should be able to access the vendor.
The design intent with the Feat of Strength achievement requirement was specifically to limit these particular art styles to players who earned them through the OG (and relentlessly difficult) PvP honor system, while keeping the door open to reward them to more people in the future.
In a future patch the items sold by the Area 52 vendors will also be renamed ‘Replica of’ to be more consistent with the items sold by the Darkmoon Faire – they’re currently exact duplicates of the original items that allow transmogrification, which is obviously a bit confusing.
Potentially related, since he’s in the same area, Kezzik the Striker sells inaccessible Season 1 Gladiator’s, Season 2 Merciless Gladiator’s, and Season 3 Vengeful Gladiator’s gear to all players, as the majority of that gear didn’t have restrictions.

As you can all see, it is our intention at this current point to only allow access to this gear for Transmogrification to those that received the privilege of wearing it in classic WoW. This may not be permanent though, as stated there is still a door there for us to be able to unlock and let other players access it as well at a later date.
We hope that you are all enjoying the new Transmogrification feature though as its great to reminisce by using old gear :D
I'd like to add that none of the raid gear I earned while it was current should be allowed for transmog. Please restrict ALL transmogrification to only those players who obtained gear from quests, dungeons, and raids if they did so when it was level appropriate and timely.
In the case of the old Honor system it’s no longer available like Molten Core is. We know who participated, what they achieved, when, and we can in this instance restrict those specific items (some of which were arguably more difficult to obtain than any raid has ever been) to the people that earned them when the system existed. It’s also worth noting that people's time investments, even at level 85 and going back and doing these old raids over and over to build a full set, is not inconsequential. It's not accurate to compare raid item drop rates (regardless of character level) now, to current honor gains and their comparison to the original honor ranking system.
We do agree that the restriction to the specific characters that earned those titles kind of sucks. It’s the player that earned those items, really, not any specific character. If we had a way to make them account-wide right now, we would. We can’t, but account-wide achievements are planned for Mists of Pandaria, and we hope to be able to include Feats of Strength with that system, which would open up these items to all characters on that player's account.
It's also worth reiterating the point made in the original reply I made "while keeping the door open to reward them to more people in the future." We'd like to find ways to make these items available to players who didn't earn them through the original system, while keeping them prestigious for those that did.
Lastly I want to apologize that this restriction was not communicated before the patch was released. As much we hope to be in front of messaging any changes before they're implemented to ensure you're well informed and can plan your play schedule with these things in mind, it doesn't always happen. For that we are sorry if anyone was looking forward to using these items for transmogrification and is unable to do so.

The Hour of Twilight is upon us! Today’s maintenance is over and all the content included in Patch 4.3 is now available. But we have some more news for you: we’re glad to announce that the Portuguese (Brazilian) localization of the game client is now available for your enjoyment!
So how can you use this new language option? Don’t worry – it couldn’t be easier, and it can be done either via the World of Warcraft Launcher, or directly from the login screen in-game. Let’s look at both of them in detail:
Selecting from the World of Warcraft Launcher
Start the World of Warcraft Launcher
Click on “Options” in the menu bar, and then click on “Game Preferences”
Select “Portuguese (EU)” from the menu in the lower left corner, and then click on “OK”
Wait for the Launcher to download the language data
When enough data has been downloaded you can start the game by clicking on the “Play” button
Selecting from the Login Screen
Start World of Warcraft
Click on the “Options” button
Click on “Languages” on the left of the menu, and then select “Português (Portugal)” from the menu and click on “Okay”
Click on “Quit” and then restart the game
By following either one of these procedures you will be able to enjoy World of Warcraft in your chosen language!

- Where will this realm be located physically?
The Portuguese realm will be situated in one of our existing European data centres, and our operations team is always working with the major internet providers in order to ensure the best game experience possible.
Not to worry if some of the questions have not been answered JUST yet, we are still working on getting some more information about this for you and hope that you are pleased with the answers thus far :)
Hello again everyone, I'm back ^^
Just wanting to give some more information for some of the concerns that you have all been raising recently.
Why PvE? Most portuguese players come from PvP realms. PvP realms are, apart from some exceptions, more populated. Given this two facts, a new portuguese server should be PvP. Hell, I've never played in a PvE realm (apart from the PTR) and I don't know if I can pass the chance to kill night elves (yes, my alliance friends, night elves particularly - don't ask me why).
You need to keep in mind that newcomers are sent to PvE realms preferably, and that they provide a much more friendly experience for newer players. While we understand your concerns, this is important for us and we want to offer newcomers a PvE environment. However, if we need more than one realm due to overpopulation of the first, we will open a second one as PvP allowing Free Character Migration to it as well (including from the first Portuguese PvE realm).
Why on Cyclone? Cyclone is currently a bilingual battlegroup, consisting of english and german realms. Well, for the english part, most of us are used to it, but german has no linguistic similarities with portuguese, the teaching of german isn't a big thing in Portugal, and I can just assume that in Germany, portuguese isn't a language highly sought be german highschool kids.
In order to ensure minimal queue times when using the Dungeon or Raid Finder tools, the Portuguese-language realm will be a part of the same queues as the English-language realms. Those who choose to use these tools should bear in mind that the resulting groups will likely include English-speaking players. Of course, Portuguese-speaking players can still form groups with friends from their own realm if they would prefer to play with Portuguese-speaking teammates only. Also please note that the PVP queues will work in the same way. As such, you will only meet German players during battlegrounds, on the opposite faction.
So I hope that this clears up some of the issues that you had, and I will try to be back with more information soon ^^

I want pigtails.
EVERY other female of EVERY other playable race has a pigtail or pigtail braid option. Most of the males can also wear braids.
Human females are the ONLY ones that are unable to.
There are only 3 of the human female styles that I even like, this being one of them. But I would trade in all of them just to get the one style I have been asking for for YEARS.
That current hairstyle model just doesn't look right on the current human female model. It's something we likely wouldn't be able to add without *ahem* redesigning existing character models.
Dragon Soul Tokens
So LFR drops 3 tokens from each of the first bosses...
LFR gear is less powerful than standard gear, and the groups performing those raids don't have any kind of organized loot distribution system to ensure that raid members receive a 'fair share'.
Of course, between your Normal or Heroic raids, you can jump into an LFR to shore up the weak points in your gear load out.

One of the major dev responses to the complaint that the Horde seems to be getting all the good stories seems to be "But Thrall is a neutral character now! When we choose to write all our good stuff about him, it's not really for the Horde!"
Neutral? In the Hour of Twilight, you see him fight. Neutral, with the Horde emblem emblazoned for all to see on his totems? I think not. Not that I ever actually thought of him as other than Horde, but this is a bit blatant.
If you re-read the article you'll note that Dave states it is a mistake that we thought of Thrall as "world character", and a hero all players would enjoy fighting alongside. He then goes on to say we're looking to correct that and have plenty of Alliance story progression set for Mists.
So Thrall's gonna be the new King of Stormwind, right?
Stance on Transmogrification
Granted, the differences are not particularly numerous, but that chestpiece in particular, while the closest approximation of the Invisible Vest that makes an attempt to match my outfit- I looked through every single leather chestpiece in the game-, is an eyesore and really ought to be burned with fire, in all honesty. The strap across the back, in particular, is quite horrendous. I would not wish such a chestpiece upon my worst enemy, yet Blizzard has seen fit to do so to me. This is unacceptable.
I'm confused as to what issues you're coming across. I see the differences in the images, and am confused by the chest piece. Can you not use

As far as the weapon enchant it's intended that they pass-through to the transmog'd item, we know that many people like having them show, but understand some don't. We don't have any current plans to research adding an option to disable them showing, but Transmog is in its infancy, and I foresee many changes and tweaks in the future as we all grow comfortable with the system.
I don't believe it was mentioned specifically by name, but something along the lines of "armor that does not display" or something to that effect, was mentioned, which basically meant that.
Ah, of course, my mistake. Ok, so you can't appear shirtless but want to appear shirtless. Yeah, those are good points of feedback but we're being pretty restrictive with what we want to initially allow for Transmog.
World of Warcraft has a maddening amount of content, and so because it's really tough to predict how people will actually use Transmog until we get it out on the live realms, we're being pretty conservative. We'd much prefer we be restrictive now and loosen the ol' belt, than "nerf fun" and have to take things away later. Of course that's our preference, so no promises either way. :)
It does have a maddening amount of content. An even more maddening amount of it is off-limits, though, and that's the problem. You guys are still "nerfing fun", you simply did it beforehand, and like most of your initial nerfs to things, you nerfed the fun of transmogrification way more than necessary, and are now in a position where you will have to revert many of the nerfs.
We are totally fine with that.
If we 'nerf fun' now but 'un-nerf fun' it in a few weeks or months, and it's un-nerfed until the end of time, is that the same as starting off with everything now and slowly removing things you enjoy over time? That seems fairly illogical, when looking at the long term plan of our approach, that is.
I realize right now you can't do what you want, but we're not developing a game that only exists
Void Storage and Transmogrification
I'm not sure I understand.
You've put an item into long-term Void Storage and then want to use it to Transmog? No, it must be in your bags. When an item is in Void Storage it's "locked". All enchants, gems, etc. are stripped. You have to "unlock" it, and bring it into your bags if you wish to use the item in any way, including Transmogrification.
I personally thought you were going to be able to transmogrify straight from void storage as that seemed to make the most sense and was implied to me in the posts.
I'm sorry if that was implied anywhere or if that's what people believed to be the case.
Void Storage and the gold cost are there ... well one as a potential gold sink (although not a super great one), but mainly to give weight to the decision of depositing and removing the items you place in Void Storage because once they're deposited they are "in the void". You should be thinking about and considering when to place items into and remove items from Void Storage. We really didn't want it to become just a new bank system, but a separate long-term storage system for specific types of items.
The connection between the two systems was because with Transmogrification we would essentially be asking people to go get and hold on to a bunch of gear just to customize the way they look. To resolve that we nixxed the key ring which freed up some storage space on a character level, and implemented a way for people to then long-term store those items. A deep-freeze, if you will. It was never the intent to use Void Storage as a staging location you could Transmog from.
And again, I realize how it could have been confusing and do apologize if there was any expectation that these systems were intended to work together directly in any way.
Void Storage provides you with extra space to store items you've used for Transmogrification, or items you might one day want to use for Transmogrification. The idea is to give players a different type of inventory space specifically designed for deep storage of gear.
Players have asked for more inventory space to store gear they love -- whether because it was difficult to obtain, or because the look is too good to throw away -- for mostly nostalgic reasons. Now, with Transmogrification added to the game, this is more of a necessity given that holding onto old gear sets isn't just for keepsake.
But, Void Storage isn't a secondary bank. It's meant for long-term storage of gear so you can hold onto the aesthetics you like, in the event you want to use them for Transmogrification in the future, without worrying about your bag and bank inventory.
That much extra storage space per character is actually a lot of additional data storage on our end. This is why enchants and gems are stripped from items placed in Void Storage, as it's much less data to recall when the extra storage space is only holding onto item IDs.
In any event, the idea wasn't just to give everyone a ton of extra storage space. We want there to be some sort of decision on the part of the player on whether or not to place eligible items in Void Storage. This is why there is a cost associated with each deposit. When all is said and done, you have 80 new slots of space to store the gear you're not using anymore, just in case you want to use any of it for Transmogrification in the future.
Raid Finder Q&A
The new Raid Finder system is now live with patch 4.3. While we’ve shared some
already, we wanted to provide you with this primer on what players can expect from the new system before taking on one of the most epic bosses Azeroth has ever seen.
Q. Who is Raid Finder for?
Raid Finder is primarily intended for players who don’t already raid consistently. These are players who may not have had the opportunity to take part in raid content due to scheduling conflicts, playtime constraints, limited access to other raid-capable players, or a lack of experience with higher-end content. These players may want to experience World of Warcraft’s raid content and storyline without being able to commit to the additional time investment of a raiding guild. The Raid Finder is also a great way to quickly and easily gear up alternate characters without having to worry about raid lockouts.
Q. What size raid group will the Raid Finder support and why?
Raid Finder will match players up to form a 25-player raid. This allows for a more forgiving experience should errors be made by individual players. Raid Finder groups should be a fun way to experience raid content without feeling too punishing to inexperienced raiders.
Q.What is the Raid Finder difficulty level?
Players who take part in Raid Finder groups can expect a similar difficulty level to the

Yes. You will need to be level 85 with a minimum item level of 372.
Q.What type of loot and items can I expect to get?
The items that can be earned are a lower item level than those found in Normal mode Raid Dungeons. Weapons will only be available from Deathwing himself.
Q. How does loot distribution work?
All Raid Finder groups determine loot distribution using the “Need Before Greed” system. Unlike Dungeon Finder, players who are identified as rolling need on an item that fits their primary role will be given loot priority over those who play a different role. here. While Raid Finder raids aren’t locked, players are only eligible to win loot from a boss once per week.
Q. How do I use Raid Finder?
You can access Raid Finder through the ‘Raid’ button in the menu at the bottom of the default user interface.
Q. How does Raid Finder populate the raid? Can I invite my friends?
Raid Finder will populate the raid with other players who enter the Raid Finder system. Each Raid Finder raid will include two tanks, six healers, and seventeen damage dealers. As the raid is assembled, the Raid Finder will attempt to balance the group according to armor type, which should help ensure a healthy mix of melee and ranged DPS. There are no additional invite capabilities for the raid leader or other members of the raid, however, groups of players are able to queue together, either as a party or a raid, should they wish to raid together.
Q: Does Raid Finder support Real ID friends?
A: With patch 4.3, you can invite Real ID friends to a party and then queue together for the Dragon Soul raid using Raid Finder. You can't, however form a raid with cross-realm Real ID friends before joining the Raid Finder queue. While not currently supported, this is something that we’re interested in implementing in a future update.
Q. What raids are available?
The Dragon Soul raid dungeon will be available in the Raid Finder and has been split into two wings. Players will be able to access the first wing at the release of patch 4.3. Deathwing will become available approximately one week later.
Q. Why aren’t older raids available on Raid Finder?
Raid Finder is being used to help players access the most current content and tier gear available within the game. Additional options for the system may be considered in the future.
Q. Can I earn any particular currency with Raid Finder?
Players can earn up to 500 Valor points per week (250 per wing) while utilizing Raid Finder.
Q. How often can I enter the Raid Finder system?
Each boss within the Dragon Soul raid can be killed once per week for a chance at loot. Since there are no raid locks, skipping a boss will not impede your ability to attempt that boss in a future raid.
4.3 Patch Launch
There's a known issue causing the LFG servers to crash, which is kicking people out of queue. A hotfix is already in production and we expect will be implemented this evening.
There's also an issue that's causing long queue times, and again a hotfix is in progress.
Do you guys not have one of the most well funded, populous design teams in the industry at your disposal?
Potentially. I don't know much about other companies to be honest.
Shouldn't a low graphics, well greased game be smooth to patch and change by now?
Well, as major patches go, 4.3 was one of the smoothest in the history of the game.
Game features and service issues have nothing to do with graphics, or even really the age of a game, though. World of Warcraft is, I would bet, one of the most complex games currently out there (
most?) in the types and scope of game systems we have. It's also no spring chicken, and so as we shove more robot-guts into the thing it just gets more complex and all these little cogs have to continue to work in-tandem.
If we weren't constantly improving and evolving the game, I might agree with you, but there's no formula for how you implement a region-wide 25 person raid queuing system under load of millions of people and test all possibilities of its use before release. Right?
Don't take this as a blatant insult, I actually feel strongly about this issue and want to know more about it before I make judgements.

Battle.net Authenticator Bypass
A Battle.net Authenticator can represent an excellent way to add an additional layer of security to your Battle.net account. We appreciate that our players make use of their authenticators, and to help make them more convenient, we’ve introduced the authenticator by-pass. Those of you that have World of Warcraft accounts may already be familiar with how it works: when you log into a Blizzard game from the same location, you won’t always be prompted for an authentication code until you attempt to log in from a different location.
The authenticator bypass is active for StarCraft II, and is enabled by default. Those of you who wish to disable this feature can do so by opting out of the bypass on your Battle.net account management page. If you opt out of the by-pass, you will be prompted by Battle.net for an authentication code each time you log in.
Customer Support Policy in 4.3
Patch 4.3 is bringing many gameplay features that have vastly changed the policies our support staff follow when answering your tickets. We wanted to give you a heads-up on what the new features are and how they may affect your characters.
Please keep in mind that what’s described below is our general policy. Every petition submitted to us is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and many factors are considered when making a final determination on the assistance we are able to provide.
Void Storage is a new feature that gives players the ability to store up to 80 items in long-term storage. Storing items using this feature will cost a set amount of gold, reinforcing the nature of the feature as a long-term storage option. Be aware that items stored are stripped of enhancements, like enchants, gems, sockets, reforged stats, and transmogrifications. Some items may also not be eligible for Void Storage, including crafting materials.
We want players to make responsible and thoughtful choices when utilizing Void Storage, and we require confirmation to help ensure that you are depositing items carefully. As you confirm these deposits and withdrawals, please take a moment to ensure that you want to proceed, as customer support will be unable to reimburse gold spent using the Void Storage system. In addition, enhancements lost due to Void Storage will also be ineligible for restoration, so store carefully!
Transmogrification brings weapon- and armor-appearance customization to World of Warcraft! Like any item enhancement, utilizing this feature will bind the item to your character permanently.
Confirming a transmogrification on an item and thereby binding it to your character will prevent that item from being unbound, refunded, or exchanged by customer support. As with Void Storage, sufficient warnings and visual confirmations of your request are provided. For this reason, we urge you to please be careful when transmogrifying items!
With patch 4.3, players will be able to unlearn specializations associated with their primary professions. For example, alchemists who have specialized in Transmutation will be able to unlearn this focus in favor of another. Bear in mind that unlearning a specialization will remove all associated specialized recipes from your character’s spell book.
With all player decisions, we want there to be a measure of responsibility. However, we understand that some of the specialization-specific recipes are no longer available in-game. Should you unlearn a profession specialization and regret the decision, and should you petition in a timely manner and not learn a new specialization in the interim, our staff may be able to help restore recipes lost in this manner.
Our policies for the Raid Finder will largely mirror our existing stances on player interaction and loot distribution. The standard loot distribution method of Need Before Greed has been altered for the Raid Finder to be more restrictive on what loot is appropriate to which players, and as a result, it leaves little room for loot disputes.
If you are unfamiliar with our current stance, be aware that customer support does not intervene with loot disputes. This means that the rightful winner of a piece of gear in a Raid Finder group is the one who is sent the item by the distribution system. To maintain a level of fairness and equality in these matters, customer support will be unable to redistribute loot either as a result of a dispute or at the request of a player who wishes to swap the item to another. As the two-hour trade timer will still be applicable in these situations, players can swap items between themselves should they decide to do so.
Fangs of the Father
Rogues will be provided with an opportunity to pursue some of the most legendary weaponry designed to date. The Fangs of the Father quest line will be an arduous journey for even the most seasoned adventurer.
In line with our previous policies regarding Legendary weapons, we want players to understand the weight of their decisions when pursuing them. As a result, customer support will be unable to assist in most situations involving the Fangs of the Father quest line. While all cases are taken on an individual basis, refunds, exchanges, or the trading of related items will largely be outside the scope of what our policies allow. Tread carefully, heroes!
The Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Faire is changing in many ways and will vastly differ from what you may have previously experienced. New items, prizes, and games await the curious and bold, and we encourage our players to participate in every facet, from quests to the new Deathmatch Arena.
However, as any of the carnival folk will tell you, it’s every man for himself out there. Quest items acquired from dungeons are Bind-on-Pickup, and once the quest has been accepted, the item will no longer be able to be traded. Customer support will not intervene in swapping these items, as the two-hour trade timer is applicable prior to the quest being accepted. In addition, participants of the Deathmatch Arena should be aware that once begun, sanctuary from your opponents will not be granted. Players should be wary of entering the Arena unless they are prepared to duke it out to the death!
With the introduction of patch 4.3, guilds will have more control over their leadership in cases where the leader goes MIA. After 30 days have passed, guild leadership will be able to be passed to a high-ranking and active individual to help continue cultivating a guild’s progression.
With the introduction of this feature, customer support will no longer intervene in guild leadership disputes. The matters of leadership and guild organization are meant for the guild to discuss and arrange, and we want to stress that leadership decisions should be made after thoughtful contemplation for and by those involved.
Firelands Not As Nerfed
We're looking into the issue with Rhyolith randomly becoming friendly during some encounters. As far as his movement speed is concerned, the animation was changed in patch 4.3 a little bit. He appears to be moving slower, but his speed has not actually changed. We had our QA team verify this to make sure it is just an issue of perception.
Things like Fandral's Flame Scythe and Alysrazor's tornadoes have not been adjusted since our hotfixes in September.
We did remove Magma Geyser from phase 4 of the Heroic Ragnaros encounter. The reasoning behind this change wasn't so much to make the fight easier, but rather because the mechanic just wasn't really playing out the way we wanted it to.
