Here's how to get a guaranteed socketed item on the Heroic Week of Season 1 in preparation for raids and Mythic+.
New Socket Items in War Within
There are two new socket item in the War Within: a PvE
Magnifique monture de joaillier
and a PvP
Monture vicieuse de joaillier
. The PvE version is a Jewelcrafting pattern that drops from Neru-bar Palace, and will only be able to be used on Rings and Necks. The PvP version can be farmed for now and works on more slots including Belt, Helm and Bracers.

can be purchased for 2
Pierre de sang vicieuse
and 9750 Honor.
Pierre de sang vicieuse
can be bought for 2500 Honor or
traded on the Auction House
. That may seem like a lot of Honor but remember that this week's brawl is
now comp stomp
. Comp stomp is a very efficient way to get honor because you're playing Arathi Basin against bots and can typically well... stomp them quickly for fast Honor gains. If you want to save some grind, feel free to buy some

Guaranteed Socketed Item
The PvP Socket item
Monture vicieuse de joaillier
can only be used on PvP gear though. Once Season 1 starts, players should be able to EARN enough conquest to buy a Helm, Bracers or Belt and socket it immediately. Conquest gear was on the
Champion track
on the War Within Beta and could be upgraded to 619 at Champion 8/8. Once you get another 619 piece or higher, you can immediately upgrade this PvP piece without needing to spend any additional Crests.
PvP Upgrades do require Honor, so make sure to have some extra Honor saved up from this week's Comp Stomp Brawl to be able to upgrade it. Honor can also be Warbound transferred, however it's at a loss of 20%, so use it wisely!
