achievement!
A Quack for Help
If you've spent much time in the Waking Shores, you've probably met Ecologists Iskha and Tharu, a pair of Drakonids who seem extremely concerned about the local environment, and who are happy to tell you some wetlands facts.
We are watching ecological collapse, and while I agree we must do something, we shouldn't allow ourselves to act rashly.
What can you tell me about these wetlands?
<Iskha glances over to Tharu as if seeking consensus.>
There are dozens of different varieties of wetlands: a swamp is a wooded wetland, a marsh is a wetland grown over with shrubs and grasses... Both bogs and fens acquire their water from rainfall, but a bog is acidic while a fen is alkaline. So much terminology to learn!
Completing a few quests for the ecologist couple unlocks the first bubbled duckling quest,
Un coin-coin à l’abri
, where you find a duckling trapped in a bubble and decide to return it to the Drakonid, who after a short argument decide to keep the duckling, naming him Waddles.
At first, that might seem like the end of it, but a new bubbled duckling will appear after the weekly reset, offering the quest
Sauvetage de palmipède
. The next three quests are
Copains comme canards
,
Sauver ses plumes
, and finally,
L’idole de la mare
- which rewards the
Becs et bulles
achievement. By this point, Iskha and Tharu will have quite the duckling family!
