while leveling in the Stockades dungeon, a corrupted pair of

! Corruption was removed from the game in patch 9.0 before the launch of Shadowlands, but the effects were simply turned off and the spells still remain in game, apparently manifesting in the Stormwind prison of all places. Although, Argoniek stated that there was
no corruption stat or bonus
on the item, making it a purely cosmetic find, it seems the Old Gods may be trying to whisper once again!
Perhaps even more interesting is how split the thread's comments were between those asking what corruption was, and the players excited over the idea of adding leveling-only corruptions to make the low level gameplay a bit more exciting. Others pointed out how corruptions that blasted out huge waves of burst damage or pushed secondary stats up toward 100% could be interesting and exciting to use, just a serious pain to acquire. While there are
no plans to add Warforge, Titanforge, and Corruption to Shadowlands
, developers have said that special loot may still make its way into the expansion, with
Tier Sets planned for a future patch beyond 9.1
