Although initially mistaken for a phishing attempt, Blizzard CS has confirmed that an email congratulating players for unlocking Daisy the Sloth was mistakenly sent out early to several players in the Australia New Zealand region, before the charity has reached its goal. , the email also links to the
as of yet incomplete Daisy the Sloth fundraiser

is defined as the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information or data, such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive details by impersonating oneself as a trustworthy entity in a digital communication. In these emails, scammers will pretend to be a well known company (in this case, Blizzard Entertainment), using familiar terms in order to trick victims into mistakenly giving away their user name and password, redirecting them malicious websites, or download something harmful to your PC. If you have any doubts regarding an email's authenticity though, it's always a good idea to take a look at our

, as we'll be sure to report once Daisy is actually unlocked and available for everyone to enjoy!
