Arcane Warden's Volatile Charge Does Damage to Enemies - Lower Karazhan Mythic+ Tips and Tricks

Lower Karazhan, one of the hardest dungeons to complete in time, has always been known to be a tough dungeon, ever since its release back in Legion, will not only continue its legacy (of being tough to time) but likely to be labeled as one of the hardest dungeon to pass this season. In today's post however, I would like to share you a trick that will speed up your overall timer, potentially buying you few seconds if used correctly. Yes, for those of you that guessed it,
Gardien arcanique
is the non-boss-enemy I am referring to and its
Projection explosive
clever way of usage. Where are they located? What exactly is the trick? Why is it so good? And many more questions, answered down below:
Where are the Arcane Wardens located?
There are in total of

Gardien arcanique
s in
The Banquet Hall
, just prior engaging
Moroes
.
The mobs are stationary and they will NOT patrol, meaning you can choose when and how to pull them based on your group cooldowns and availability.

How to use them to your advantage
Periodically, each
Gardien arcanique
will cast
Projection explosive
on 2 random members of your party, now keep in mind, this does damage not only to
YOU
but also to anyone nearby you, including non-boss-enemies and also party members,
Once the
Projection explosive
is about to expire, simply walk over where the mobs are located,without damaging your party members, and they will take the full damage of the explosion.
Keep in mind, that
Projection explosive
scales with dungeon level, and also
Fortifié
, and you should always try to use personal-defensive once you get it.
Watching the clip, you can clearly see the two players, who are getting deliberate close to the melee, using
Projection explosive
to speed up the non-boss-enemy count, giving us few extra seconds on the timer(which turned out was the reason to time this key for us). Just to note on a +23 key-level difficulty, pre-nerf, the ability does roughly around
100k
splash damage, numerical values will be adjusted as soon as we can test it on the live servers.
Potential ideas to further develop the strategy
Now that we know that the
Gardien arcanique
scales with dungeon level, and affixes, begs the question, can we, once again, use
Galvanisant
to our advantage? Bolster the mob on purpose, use a defensive and pull large amount of mobs, to kill it with
Marquage d’artillerie
. Now before you cross your arms and disagree here, let me pull out some historical evidence of why it might be possible:
Back in
Battle of Azeroth
expansion, we could use
Guetteur corsandre
to our advantage, both as
Galvanisant
version of
Marquage d’artillerie
and just the way as it is.
It was a common strategy to deliberately bolster the and kill majority of the dungeon count with it, later on either dropping off combat or just suiciding
This was a lot faster than any other strategy, regardless that it did not work on boss fights, sadly hotfixed after few months, only letting
Tyrannique
or
Déchaîné
to work on them.
Yes Petko, but that was a long time ago, surely Blizzard took a note and allowed nothing like that in this expansion. Or did they?
Let me take you back to
The Necrotic Wake
, where from Season 1 all the way until the end of Season 3,

was used not only to kill non-boss-enemies but also for boss fights, essentially forcing you to this strategy if you want to complete the highest keys in the world. And yes, this saw play across all competitive-dungeon rankings in MDI.
Of course, down the line,
Galvanisant
no longer worked on the
Façonneur de chair
, but
Déchaîné
remained an affix that will amplify it's damage.
Final Thoughts
We are soon to find out how will Blizzard respond to that; I am unsure myself if
Galvanisant
will amplify its damage, if that also works on bosses? I am sure once the new week begins we will test things and come back to this topic. I see this as a clever way of using game-features, provided to us by Blizzard, but I can see the community frustration across the board if the whole strategy in the Lower Karazhan will be centered to that. Time will tell!
