Got my 5 all from Bourdon vespoïdés near the Festoyeur rare area. The drop rate on these is abysmal. Expect an average of a couple hours between drops with continuous grinding in a group of 5. That plus the fact that you need at least FOUR of these for all the Vespoid mounts plus one for the pet, makes this a painful grind.

This lattice along with Viperid are the rarest of all the lattices.

Weeks ago, I got the first lattice after just a few kills. Made the vespoid pet. Now I'm farming to make Buzz. Days and days of farming for hours and not a single sign of this lattice. Horrible drop rate and the last I checked, the price of the lattice on the AH on my server is half a mil gold. Seriously, Blizz.

Edit: I'm starting to wonder if this thing has been removed from the drop list. Eight hours farming today. I've lost track of Furidan and Feasting kills at this point.

I pulled the workers on a worm boss kill and got one. So they do drop off the low hp ones.

Abysmal drop rate on this one, I've farmed all of the others except vombata lattice. Helicid took a little while but this one is by far the worst. Vombata dropped to 1K gold on my server so I just bought 3 because that is nothing to me. Vespoid lattice is 50K on my server, I caved and bought one and created my bronze vespoid. For the record, I have four toons eligible to obtain the bronze alloy from the weekly reward, and so far I am 1/4. I have all the echoes and baubles needed for the mounts, and have obtained one crown so far. No revelation key or rage pearl yet... Or the mawtouched item from Sepulcher caches.

Low drop rate, but you can pull so many so quickly which makes up for it at /WAY 62 55. Got 2 in 15 min of farming and over 160 kills.

took me 20-30 mins to get my one at 62 55 cords kind of fun its also decent for genesis motes to drop from them but if you're planning for just a vespoid expect to be there for a tiny bit

It took me 3,457 tracked kills (after importing the string posted above). However, my fiance, who is still on an our old server, got 2 drops in under 600 tracked kills. Sadly, she couldn't trade one to me. I guess that's the game's way of getting even since I got the schematic for Buzz before her.

Took me only around 1000 kills to get ONE. Thanks so very much, blizzard. The supposedly rare “blue” materials for the mounts all dropped within an hour but this stuff is just stupid. I hope the person who programmed the droprate is having fun laughing at us. Meanwhile the bot-farmers make millions on the auction house, but everything is working as intended.

This is the absolute laziest way to keep people occupied until the next expansion.

So after 2 hours I farmed almost 500 Genesis Motes, while at it I happen to kill 3 scarabs and got 1 Scarabid Lattice......... Still no Vespoid.... Nice drop rate -_-

My suggestion for anyone who needs these. Farm the vespoids for the genesis motes you are going to need for the other mounts and/or pets. Yeah it's slower than the ravager farming but at least you get something useful out of it. I got a few fairly quickly this way. Last one was after getting 1500 motes.

Dropped for me after around 500 kills (around 30min of non-stop vespoid genocide) and I probably got lucky.
They currently sell for 30k on my high-pop server. So it's a good money maker if there's no competition and the item sells.

Easiest place to farm is near Feasting spawn 62, 59.
You only have to tag one of the non-hostile workers to pull all 3 of them.
You can go to other spawn points but if there isn't anyone else farming there it's best to just wait 5min for them all to respawn.
Both Feasting and Zatojin can be looted multiple times a day for the lattice.

edit: 2nd one dropped 50 kills later. Hmmm.

edit 2: Many more kills and haven't seen another drop.
According to Wowhead the drop rate is on average every 555 kills if you include the rares. If you don't it's on average every 1143 kills.

I decided to take a few hours, making a group to farm one just to see how bad the drop rate was. 3,504 wasp kills, 0 lattices. However, one dude joined my group when I was around 2000 kills in, and gets one not even 2 minutes after joining.

This is just ridiculous. And they are selling at 90k in the AH and I REFUSE to pay that price. I guess I will be farming every day til I get one, because I am sure those prices won't be coming down

I've killed over 1500 of these vespoids and have gotten zero lattices to drop... I have other lattices in my inventory just from doing dailies and world quests.

Edit: 2500 now, still no lattice. I have 2 mount recipes requiring this lattice

This is NOT bind on pickup. You can buy it on the auction house if you get tired of farming (as I did). You can also sell your extras.

On a positive note, the little cretins do drop Genesis motes.

And wile the farm is not as good as at Genesis Fields, you get quiet some Motes when you are burnig through a few thousands of these.

They also drop ilvl 229 greens which are wanted by recently dinged lvl 60s. Its worth checking out their AH value for extra income.

So here I am, 5 min from weekly server shutdown thinking I'll clear a vespoid pack. 2700 kills so far with no results. Something about the time limit made it feel like tonight might just be my night. Then it happened! My rarity pinged! I looked down to see the loot, and I read "Raptora Lattice obtained"... Somehow a raptor had made it's way into the pack I was killing .__.
Blizzard is psychologically torturing me.
2700 kills and nothing.
But, hey, I only need one of these things. Right? Right...?

Seriously though. 2700 kills for a resource I need 5 of, and on a mob that doesn't hyper-spawn no less. It's a bit too much to ask don't you think, Blizz?
The completionist in me won't let me buy any of the ProtoSynth reagents from the AH. Wants me to do it myself like I have every other collectible thus far. That being said, I think when I reach 10,000 kills I'll buy however many more I need. I don't mind doing incredibly huge farms, because the more you farm for something the better it feels when you finally get your drop. In this case though, it's more like: "Nice! Finally! Just 4 more to go..."
If I reach 10k without getting a single Lattice, then I'll continue until I get that first 1 just out of belligerence, but suuuuurely that won't be the case C:

I honestly don't get why people moan so much about this one. You need like 30k genesis motes to make every pet and mount in Zereth anyways so it pays off to kill the wasp swarms every time you see them regardless of whether they drop the lattice or not. You will likely get all the lattices you will ever need long before you get all the motes you will ever need. Plus there's several rares that spawn around the main swarm areas so farming them is also great for the occasional anima boost if you're still farming that.
