I have been trying to farm this for who knows how many hours. But it is just not dropping for me at all. Am I doing something wrong or is it really this bad of a drop chance? Please sent help.

Are there actually mobs you can pickpocket for these like all the other lockboxes or do you have to get lucky on these 0.05% drop chances?

They really need to improve the dropchance of this lockbox, getting Rat soulshape will be pure pain otherwise

get a few friends, or a really geared toon , go in Tazavesh on heroic , kill first boss , and mobs to get through next door , pickpocket everything in "The veiled market" took me about 25 minutes to get 2 boxes for the soul

Beware , Tracker Zo'korss, the 2 core hounds, and Commander Zo'far in front of the teleporter up to So'azmi all detect stealth , kill them to make it easier, or avoid them

A relatively good pickpocket farm for the lockboxes is the Tazavesh, le marché dissimulé dungeon's 1st boss room.

You need to kill the Gardien de portail Zo'mazz miniboss to open the door. (I've done it with 2 different rogue, 240 and 260 ilvl in Dragonflight pre-patch multiple times as outlaw)

Don't forget to picpkocket the gatekeeper pack too.
Assommer the left one, Cécité the right one and nuke the miniboss:
- use Fiole cramoisie after the first Frappe par procuration
- use Cape d'ombre before the Impulsion irradiante cast finishes
- use Évasion before the 2nd Frappe par procuration
2 out of 10 times my Trompe-la-mort talent procced, so pick that talent. (You no need to fight more than that fight, so you can swap your talent around the situation.)

use Disparition or run out of the dungeon after the miniboss is dead (you can kite him backwards to the entrance, but my worst kill time was 50 seconds - if you die near the entrance, release instantly and you can catch the boss with low health)

Another useful talent is the movement speed in stealth (Course des ombres), so you'll get 160% move speed in the whole farm. Here is my talent build that i used during the farm: talent build

After that you can wait ~6 mins to able to pickpocket them again, or you can reset the instance and do it again (beware, the limit is 10 lockouts per hour). Would be better if you could kill the boss too, but it's not possible with low geared rogue - ask a friend maybe -, so you could run around the instance and pickpocket everything without waiting time.

The loot summary from 12 round of pickpocketing (average 1-2 boxes / round):

Couple Shadowlands herbs and ores, a lots of Sacoche de sécurité. The pickpocket table for this mob is kinda covers all the possibilities.
