Nécroraie bulbeuse, Nécroraie infestée, and Nécroraie pestilentielle are listed as coming from this item, which itself comes from Œuf de nécroraie after 3 days.

It is like Œuf primordial, 100% to get one of these three mounts.

After you have all 3 if you still get more eggs, they will then hatch into Gelée dorée.

The ATT addon says that the Necroray Egg can drop from the Tribute of the Ambitious, which is a reward for completing the calling quest Training in Maldraxxus. I will do 2 of these today since I have this on my alts, and will give update how this can be obtained.

Oh, one character is Kyrian, and the other is a Necrolord.The ATT drop was checked on a Kyrian character.

EDIT: Completed the calling on both charaters, and didn't receive it on either one.

Dropped for me from Tribute of the Ambitious and I'm with Night Fae. I'm assuming this is a similar thing to Paragon rewards in BFA and Legion.

Rarity String for all of the following:

Armored Bonehoof Tauralus - This can be bought from the Necrolord Renown Vendor OR rarely looted from the indariver as I was halfway through the list of mounts and found their comments which helped me finish up the other half of the list. :)

I’ve got 2 eggs from 2 separate boxes after completing 2 Maldraxxus calling from the Kyrian’s. You can only have 1 at a time in your inventory but the second egg keeps hatching in the mail 🙂

Will be really interested to see if you receive duplicate mounts in these or not. That would be incredibly @#$%ty if it does, since these are a very low drop chance from the Maldraxxus callings already and don't come often.

Got 3 eggs and 3 different mounts, so either you cant get the same one twice or I was just lucky.

I got two eggs drop, both on my Necrolord character, somewhere around patch 9.0.2 and I got them separetly in one week. Iam playing daily on 4 characters with different Covenants and I got zero drop on other characters/covenants so far.

Just got one on a Kyrian after 80 attempts from a calling chest. Not NL only.

I been farming these progressively while adding more alts to the mix. So far at the moment I am at 329 tributes total while having my 1st egg drop after 185 tributes at the time. Since the 1st drop now I am at 144 tributes and still no 2nd egg. gotten 11 alts all the way exalted with the undying army in the process. Hope blizzard fix these soon. this grind is ridiculous.

They should just add a vendor that sells the egg or mounts for 5k anima or something. Tons of people talking about doing the calling when ever they can on multiple characters and 0 eggs found so far. I can totally see it happening most of us will still miss the mounts at the end of the expansion even though we've taken every opportunity we can to get it.

I know these eggs are more connected to NL but cant Blizzard change the drop so every calling chest has the chance to drop 1.
At this moment i am at 187 NL calling chests and still have 0 drops. last days there has not been a NL calling so no chance at all.

Edit 1 (13-Oct-2021): After 211 openings I finally found my first egg. lets hope for a quick second and third drop :D.

I really hope they increase the drop chance with 9.2. ~~120+~~148 ~~175~~ ~~195~~ ~~205~~ attempts and no egg so far. Here is hoping I get all 3 before shadowlands is over.

Update (3/20/22): After 217 attempts I got my first egg! Keep pushing! Now to get 2 more.

Completed my full set today after scoring the first two in the first patch then giving up after doing it every single one for months. I started doing a couple just this week to help finish Veil Strider title and didn't even think about it dropping! GL everyone.

Got 1 egg in Shadowlands S4 - Got the Bulbous Necroray
I believe that these don't drop the same mount twice unlike the Primal Egg from Isle of Giants in Pandaria.

I am still missing 2 more of these mounts., over 6 months into the new expansion and I still have to check every so many days to see if these quests are up. just opened 2 more chest and still no egg drop. Are they dropping for anyone else? This is absurd!

It's a tie between this mount and Iska's Mawrat for most frustrating mounts to farm in SL.

I am still waiting to get my first. My rarity just documented its 192th Tribute of the Ambitious opening. (My rarity wasn't working at the beginning of SL.) I have yet to get a single egg. Its really getting ridiculous at this point.
