Drops from the first guard in DM north.

Needed to open the last door before getting to the king.

Door can also be opened by a seaforium blast (biggest one) or a rogue.

Dunno if a key made with BS works...

Earlier you could kill the guard with this key, exit the dungeon, reset it, and return with the key intact. That bug has been fixed. Now you need to:

1) Pickpocket the key
2) Lockpick the door
3) Blast it open with a Seaforium Charge
4) Unlock it with a Truesilver Skeleton Key

The skeleton key approach might take several tries, but the key won't be destroyed in a failed attempt.

Watch out! If you walk out of the instance portal the key will immediately be destroyed, so don't run out if you're about to wipe, don't go somewhere else to repair, or anything else like that if you have picked up the key.

I noticed this the hard way, wasn't that fun to get stuck in front of a locked door just before the last boss.

The door can be opened by a Truesilver Skeleton Key or above.

truesilver skeleton key from blacksmithing does work.
just tried it and it faild couple times then worked. :)

I just tried to pickpocket Guard Mol'dar as suggested by magnars. This doesn't work (anymore?), you will get the message "No pockets to pick".
However, I succesfully lockpicked the inner door with my rogue, who only had level 281 Lockpicking. It was green at that time, and I even gained a Lockpicking level.

If you are lined up looking directly at the door and standing back a little bit, run towards the door and blink just before the guards. This will cause you to blink right through the door and you will not need a key.

Can somebody plz tell me why everytime I loot this key, it ends up disapearing? Now I died awhile after looting, but it was still there. Then as im pulling up to the door, I check keyring and its gone. WHY? WHY?

I've done about 5 runs last 2 patches, and not once did this one drop the key. ooh yes, NOT ONCE.

Requesting info on it; Is it a bug? Failure to meet certain requirements?

edit: It's just like I said. Corpse was looted clean, no one obtained a key. If it wasn't that way I wouldn't be requesting info, now would I? ...

No longer needed, just cleared for achivement and did not drop key and did not need any key to open the last door.

It drops from a chest in the middle of the 2nd room

This key no longer exists as the inner door is now always unlocked.
