The benefit of fighting guards is that you increase their health and damage, which will be useful if your court is attacked by outside forces. You only have to deal a token amount of damage in order to upgrade guards.

I don't do world pvp, I'm a pacifist or whatever, just want to have all no-pvp achievements and give pretty parties, but I guess that is too much to ask for...

Stupid PVP bullshot. Why the fush does this need to be from a friggin PvP garbage quest? Anyone have an idea on the probably dismal drop rate?

Edit: I finally found this quest up and got the item 1st try. Is that the usual outcome? The quest itself isn't bad, just kill NPCs, what's #$%^&*ed is that it's War Mode only.

Right now this game is so dead this becomes pretty easy. Just pick an off time (an off time nowadays is most of the time, just stay away from prime time evening).

I did this and got to 75% without seeing anyone else. I decided to wait for the Sliime Queen for the last 25% and that was kind of a mistake. It took a long time to respawn (someone had killed it before me), because respawn times tend to be long when a shard is dead. In that period two people came in, one was a level 59 pally who I could have killed easy but it just seemed wrong so I didn't. The other was a level 60 geared mage which could have probably killed me easy but luckily wasn't near me.

If you want to be more safe, the Slime Queen is at the top of the tower where you can get in through a doorway. You can simply fly up, wait outside till she respawns and just kill her 4 times. However you might have some competition because I think others are doing this also.

For anyone reading comments and seeing things telling you to kill or camp the queen 4 times, or otherwise just being unclear about the item - you are awarded this upon completion. Its not looted from the Queen. You don't have to camp her till it drops. Just complete the quest and get the item.

For those of you that do not PvP, this quest is one of 4 on a random non repeating rotation per day. The easiest way to check where the quest is to just jump down into the maw/Venari's Refuge with Warmode on, and look at the zones to see where the PvP WQ is, jump back up and go to quest or go on your merry way from the flight point.

does this not drop anymore? i finally saw the quest up and completed (didn't have to pvp now that the zone is old content), but it didn't give me the item. the way people talked about it, i thought it would be guaranteed.

update: the quest was up again today, and the maldraxxi banner showed as the actual quest reward. i got it upon completing the quest. i don't know if this is different than how it was in shadowlands, but it's not an extra drop on top of the quest rewards if you're venthyr. it should appear as the reward for the actual world quest.
