A partir du post de greencatspryte en anglais le 2019-09-16 (Mise à jour 8.2.0)
Rendu à Yarga (coordonnées 39/58). Il est dans une cave qui se trouve dans une petite mare sous une double cascade.

Pour ceux qui n'ont pas les coordonnées, fly à Mezzamere, descendez la route à l'ouest pour aller au niveau du dernier E de Mezzamere, vous avez la mare sur votre gauche, sa cave est sous marine sur la droite des cascades, si vous affichez les noms des pnj, vous pourrez le voir depuis la route. Le PNJ n'a pas de marque "?", il faut lui parler. Il vous donnera un sac en échange de la pièce, ce sac contient des PO en quantité intéressante pour valoir le trajet.

To find Cherche-malheur Yarga, go to the fork in the road immediately south of Mezzamere – Jump in the water directly to the west and swim into the underwater cave.

Having this in your bag with War Mode on is fun. Imagine having your HP reduced by 45% and +40% chance to be crit curses on you while running around trying to avoid the Horde that are all over. Luckily I made it. I received around 997 gold and some change. It would be cool if the reward was affected by War Mode bonus.

This coin puts curses on you. Trade it in for a Sac tintinnabulant which rewards you 800-900g. The NPC to do the trade-in is in a cave under water, entrance /way 39.10 57.80 near Mezzamere.

Managed to get to 8 stacks of Malédiction des marées : Décomposition while wandering around questing with this still in my bags. Having your HP reduced by 40% is not actually fun.

I also noticed that there were random patches around Mezzamere that gave me Malédiction des marées : Eau sombre. It may have shown up in other places, but I didn't notice it until I returned there.

Pure speculation, but I wonder if the amount of gold you get is based on the number of curse stacks at the time you turn it in. I had 5 stacks (3 of one curse and two of another) and got about 865 gold. Maybe people who only got 400 gold cleared the curses first.

I just handed in and got 391G 46S 23C. I had only 2 curses on me I think, so that would suggest some corrolation between the number of curses and the amount of gold received

I dont think the amount of gold you get correlates with the curses you have. i had 2 curses, one at 7 stacks and the other at 2 stacks and only got 381 gold

Go to /way 38 57. Under the waterfall and a little to the right there will be a cave with a turtle named Gloomseeker Yarga. Then <Offer the Encrusted Coin>

/way 38.51 58.47 - took me to the underwater cave. The Gloomseeker Yarga did not have a ? above head. Had to open conversation to turn it in. First time the gold reward was about 400g. The second time I turned it in, the reward was 772 gold, 38 silver, 30 copper.

I turned in the encrusted coin at 39/58 to Yarga. He's in a cave in a smallish pond underneath a double waterfall. For those without coords, if you fly just south of Mezzamere, and sit with your nose/front facing the last 'e' in Mezzamere, look down and his cave is under water just to the left of the double waterfall in the the pond. As beegkitty said, he has no ? quest symbol, you need to talk to him. He gives you a Jingling Sack, I received 689 gold, 53 silver, 3 copper, nice haul, no effort and worth getting rid of the curse which seems to ramp up the longer you hold the coin. cheers have fun and funds! I spent a few hours running around with this on, getting cursed like crazy, before I finally bothered looking into what was causing it.

I got 972g for turning it in. It would be interesting if the length of time you held on to it influenced the payout, but it's probably just random.

So, on my DH I have found that all the stacks of curses get reset anytime I change specs. This can be very useful if you are too lazy to search out this vendor right away.

317g49s22c for me. Dropped this at the underwater cave just south of Mezzamere.

Have to agree with others that think perhaps the amount you get is influenced by how long you hold it, at least to an extent. I got the ring, saw the curse, looked up the ring, and immediately went to get rid of it. First curse was still on 2 minutes when I gave up the ring.

I don't know if it's been stated but I got these coins off the Highborne spirits lurking around the Highborne Estates by 77, 24. They're the neutral (yellow) spirits all around the area. Two dropped off the two I killed although I was only allowed to keep one.

I came here to see if it was worth the hassle to keep it and deliver it otherwise just delete it. I wouldnt have bothered if it was 100g or a benthic piece. All the people writing how much gold they have received gives us an idea of how much gold you might be getting out of delivering this item, so you can make up your mind.

In case it's true the amount is linked to time held, I was carrying this around for a couple hours. I got 986g
The curses come and go, not just one curse. They didn't affect me much when killing, I suppose because of my armor level but that's only 449. I didn't even know I had them until I noticed 4 debuffs by the mini-map. I had 4 because I was holding both Encrusted Coin and Skeletal Hand.

Guys, you can sell the coin to a merchand named Gloomseeker Yarga in an underwater cave near one of the entrance/exit gates of MEZZAMERE in NAZJATAR! The underwater cave is located where the waterfalls are (38.75.58.13) You cannot miss the waterfalls! Enjoy!

The gold amount you get as a reward IS NOT linked to the time held. I kept mine for days while I played normally, doing quests, assaults etc and got 684g.

So turn it in as soon as you get it.

I think it's safe to say the reward is not corresponding the amount of time you've carried the coin as others suggest. I must've had it in the bag of an alt for over a year with on/off playing time and got rewarded 502 Gold, 41 Silver & 24 Copper for my troubles.

As of 9.2, this coin is no longer cursed, puts no debuffs, and is hardly worth the effort of being handed to the merchant. The gold reward is one tenth of what used to be in BFA. Gave me 75 gold today.
