What is New with Delves for Season 2 in The War WithinMount

The Dirigeable des archéologues is so Season 1. This Season, true delvers are riding the Gob-trotteur du Gouffre!

Companion

He retains his level moving from Season 1 to Season 2.

His new maximum level is 80. If you haven't reached the Season 1 cap of 60, you will find that experience has been adjusted to let you reach 60 more quickly.

Brann now has a Tank spec.

Delves

There are 2 new delves: Site d’excavation 9 and Chenal de ruelle.

Mechanics for delves that were available in Season 1 have been tweaked to provide variety.

Most existing delves have new variants.

New Vignettes and Treasure Powers have been added

The rotation of Bountiful Delves has been changed to add more variation per week: Instead of one delve per zone being Bountiful each day, now all delves will be cycled through before a delve is Bountiful again.

Tier progress has been reset; everyone will be starting at Tier 4.

The difficulty and rewards of Tier 4+ delves will increase to match the new item level caps in Season 2.

Coffer Keys

Keys cannot be carried over from Season 1 to Season 2; your balance has been reset.

Maps

The chance to find a Butin de l’archéologue map at the end of a delve run has been increased.

There is a limit of 1 Butin de l’archéologue that is able to be earned per week. On the upshot, even with this limitation, you are now much more likely to consistently obtain that 1, compared to the previous season.

Tier 9+

Tiers 9, 10, and 11 delves will now reward more Runed Crests.

Tier 11 Bountiful Delves will now reward Gilded Crests up to three times a week from a Réserve dorée.

The Réserve dorée does not require a key like Coffre abondants do.

You must have lives remaining to earn the Réserve dorée.

Nemesis

The achievements for killing Zekvir in Tanière de Zekvir are no longer attainable.

There is a new Nemesis, Le Père Foreur.

Completing the Delver's Journey

It takes 0 Périple du Gouffre points to earn 1 Delver's Journey rank progress.

As there are 10 ranks in Season 2 of War Within, it will take a total of 0 Périple du Gouffre points to reach maximum rank.

If you don't ever open any Bountiful Coffers and only complete Tier 8 Bountiful Delves, this will take approximately 280 Tier 8 Bountiful Delve completions, or 70 days for the season (with 1 character running 4 Bountiful Delves per day).
These numbers are reduced by Season Nemesis encounters and opening Coffre abondants with Clé de coffret réparées.

Delver's Journey is Warband-bound, so you can speed this up by running Bountiful Delves with multiple alts.

According to the chart directly above this its tier 7 delves that give the max reward of 1/6 Hero at 649. So one of these statements is false

So... Delves still have no comparison to M+ in loot, even at tier 11. They could have add myth loot from GV at least completing delves tier 10 or 11.
Not considering that the gear dropped has no particular effects that makes them woth to farm for a BiS (like a trinket or a special effect armor).
The limt drop of the map (1 per week) is also much unfair for those who like to try to farm.
Also clearing ALL the raid should grant at least 1 Myth piece in GV.

This system still prioritize (and reward) a toxic system like M+.

Ok that is a new thing on the ilevel chart. What is the difference between "bountiful delve rewards" vs "Delver's bounty rewards"?

Also, in season one.. Hero 6/6 is 626. How is Hero 1/6 649 in that chart? Was there a hidden change in Champion/Hero gear ilevels?

How the heck is Veteran gear 623? 3 ilevel lower than Hero gear?1?

Pathetic. So I'll lose 35 coffer keys (and approximately 70 more in total on all alts) that I worked for and invested time in. I feel so rewarded. Yes, I do.

Assuming you are geared from Season 1, if you want a quick way to earn the small boosts that curios offer, just spam tier 1s and 2s to get all rank 1 curios now that season 2 has started. Then when you push your higher ranks, you'll get the 2/3/4 versions instead of rank 1s. Make sure to choose a delves that are relatively short and don't have tedious progression mechanics.

Clearing Dread Pit T1 in about 3 minutes gave me 8 curios before it seemed to stop dropping them or gave bad RNG 2 runs in a row. So I swapped to T2 and looted another 4 before having bad RNG again on drops. But I looted 12/14 curios in about an hour.

The least they could have done for season 2 was fix it so that Brann isn't continuously in the way. He is the reason I don't like playing Delves. He transforms a good time into a frustrating time.

I watching Bellular's 11.1 quick gear guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0Iqwmvajfg) and he is saying doing Tier 9 and above Delves gives Hero 3/6 in the Great Vault but the chart above says Tier 8 and above all only give Hero 1/6.

Which is correct?

A important info i don't see anywhere: tier 11 Bountiful delves give you 250 progress just by completing them, for some reason the info tables just go up to tier 8, giving the impression that the 150 is the cap. It makes a big difference in the long run doing 600/day per character or 1000/day per character.
Another tip is that the tank bran is OP if you can heal him, i have a 600ilvl mistweaver alt and i'm completing tier 11s without much effort. 1000/day extra from a random alt is very cool.(to be fair, my bran is 65, so that may be why he feels so op)

If you want Écu doré de Terremine make sure you run BOUNTIFUL Tier 11s. You will not get Réserve dorée for clearing a non-bountiful Tier 11.

Also, Butin de l’archéologue awards 10 Écu doré de Terremine at the completion of a Tier 11 - this is in addition to the 7 crests for clearing a bountiful Tier 11.

This guide states 1 delver's bounty per week. Is that per account or per toon? In my experience it seems like its per account. My hunter got 1 from the first bountiful delve they did and I've since run every bountiful delve (on tier 11) on my alts each day and haven't seen another map. If it is per account they seem to be reverting their 'alt friendly' stance.

**Edit** on my last bountiful delve today I got a map on my Shaman alt. So they do appear to be 1 per toon. However, the drop rate on alts seems VERY low.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or something else, but I ended up getting a Delve map on Tuesday or Weds (I can't remember exactly which day), and then as I was doing another bountiful delve (t10) yesterday (Friday) I ended up getting a second map. I have a few characters that are 80 but it seems that the map cap may not be 100% true.

The rewards list is still wrong. In game right now, my Great Vault preview is saying that Tier 6 is only 642; not 645.

lmao, absolutely not. I did Zekvir as soon as I unlocked him, went in blind and got it first try.
Meanwhile, Underpin has absolutely murdered me for 5 attempts now and I haven't got him below 80%, and that was without wasting any dps on the Cronies' massive health pools

Here's what this means, since it's not explained anywhere:

Crest rewards were buffed on 5/13/25 for the Turbo Boost Event. Below are the new rewards from delves with a maxed out nemesis chest:

Firmly disagree on Underpin being easier than Zekvir. Having considerably greater difficulty with Underpin than I had with Zekvir. I don't remember much mechanics with Zekvir, but punting the bombs with Underpin is really annoying, because if he's in melee range then the bomb is nearly untargetable through him.

Anyone else not sometimes not getting enough?

I only just noticed today that I hadn't received 7 from a t9 but only 4 when i went to upgrade some gear on an alt. Then did the same delve with another toon and got the full 7 and then again on another and only got 4 again.

I'm not capped or anything, far from it but seeing as runed crests are a trickle for my alts its a big deal missing out on 3 and I've no idea how many times this has happened in the past!

One extra note for Underpin - while Redirection d’énergie vers les boucliers is only cast once he reaches 80% health or lower.

If he hits 100 energy (about 45 sec in) and is above 80% health, he won't cast the shield until you bring him that low, at which point he will immediately cast it.

And if you took a break between seasons 1 and 3, good luck starting season two for any rewards you might want (the campsite for example), because the quests to begin season two are gone for good and you're f*cked.
