Do we have any idea at what level you need to be to participate? The quests seem to require level 50 (max) and the gear bought also requires 50. But the article mentions some of the dropped gear only requires 30. If I level my babies to current level 60-70 where they are able to go to Northrend, will they be able to participate in some of the prepatch content?

During the legion prepatch there were all the invasions that were awesome for leveling alts - Id love to be able to do something like that again.

Ok most important is spawn time for Bronjahm and drop rate of Sac en parfait état de Papa - that is what I want to get for ALL my chars.
Other Rares and their drops too, but there I will camp those for mog reasons of one piece of each needed an likely not with every armor type chars.
For mog sets I should have enough fresh & not-geared alts.

How "fresh" from Exile's Reach do you have to be to become excluded from the scourge event?

I'm worried that if I have to come back to orgrimmar to access the bank, AH, and profession trainers that I'll be killed repeatedly. That's what happened to me during the WotLK event. Back then, if you were not near the max level, you'd die. It was frustrating to the point where I left the game until the event was over.

This prepatch really sucks in rewards. Hardly any xp, 1 pet, Nathanos Blightcaller is a weekly boss that drops ONLY 5 commendations, nothing else. Yeah... This sucks.

Killed him on my ENHANCE shaman, who has only ever been Enhance, had to rewarded loot show up as a mace. Yet instead I got a lovely 2 handed staff. I have never healed on this character ever. So definitely seems like a bug. Even double checked my loot and it was set to current spec.

Wowhead does not sync with local time, so in the front page where it shows the rare spawns time, its 1 hour ago for me and since it only show 3 rares, I cannot see whats next :( can you just show more than 3 rares? or add a setting to chose local time? (+1 or +2 etc)

Just a fun note: it takes 5 days for the boss rotation to come around to the same time again.

For example, Lady Deathwhisper spawned on my server at 12:20am tonight Nov 11. She will continue to spawn when it is her turn in the rotation (every 6hr 40min), but the next time that she will spawn at 12:20am will be on Nov 16, five days later.

I can confirm, you can kill and loot each boss more than once per day. I killed a boss and got scourgestones, killed the same boss 6 hours 40 min later and got scourgestones and a piece of 110 gear. I also have multiple of the same piece of boss specific gear so unless I somehow time traveled, I got 2 pieces from killing the boss multiple times.

Honestly, probably not worth grinding for your alts. As you will get better gear in shadowlands's quests anyways. A 7 hours rotation which you should do with all your alts you want to gear. Sure....

Bosses can be farmed. I received Pierre du Fléau noire from Skadi the Ruthless, Bague d’Annhylde from Ingvar the Plunderer, and Influenceur de Keleseth from Prince Keleseth after killing these rare mobs consecutively in about a one-hour period.

Seems like this guide is wrong. The Safety of Others isn't being offered. Currently have a ticket open with blizzard for confirmation. There's no zombies attacking org and the daily isn't offered so the wording "available immediately" and "The daily The Safety of Others unlocks from the beginning of the event" should be corrected or better information about how one picks up this quest should be given.

In case anyone was wondering, the Argent Conscript gear that is purchased with the new commendations can be both disenchanted and scrapped, granting the usual BFA materials. Items dropped from Icecrown rares can be disenchanted (again for BFA materials) but cannot be scrapped.

Currently on Frostmourne, the rares start spawning it at 01, 21, 41 past the hour REALM TIME, the fight usually starts at 03, 23, 43 past the hour REALM TIME. Unsure if it is the same on other servers, but this holds true for Frostmourne.

Hello, I have noticed that during this pre-patch event, you cannot farm Champion's Seal anymore, does anyone knows if you will be able to do it again? I was grinding that in order to get all the mounts, had like 60 more days out of 100+ total, I hope that you will be able to continue farming for all the Argent Tournament mounts and pets. Does anyone knows if it will be resumed and when?
I have spent so many days trying to get all the mounts and now it looks like I am stuck. Does anyone have any idea if we will be able to resume farming these? It will be a shame if not. Feels like my work for 1+ month was in vain right now. Hope Blizzard will do something about it.

In case anyone is wondering: you can loot all the rares once every time they're up. So yes, you can loot the same rare 3 times in one day.
The ONLY restriction seems to be that you can't kill the same rare twice in one spawn by realm hopping.

Yesterday I:
-Looted no gear on 1st kill, but a piece of armor on 2nd kill of one boss (You can also get the bag on 2nd kill of the day, confirmed)
-Looted the exact same item both on 1st and 2nd kill of one boss
-Got 2 gear items from a single boss kill

Taking damage interrupts casts, and it occurs often enough to prevent using your Hearthstone, forcing you to stand next to a Bonfire if you want to hearth while the debuff is up.

What? the debuff hasn't affected any of my characters doing anything, its just a stupid thing that says "can't be used inside" during patchwerk lol

What am I missing about the zombie invasions in the capital cities? I found one zombie in Org that drops a partially digested Argent Crusade item that starts a quest but then goes nowhere. Do they start week 2?

Ok, I'm having some fun with this event so far, BUT .....
I would LOVE to see the 34 slot bag with a little bit better drop rate- EVERYBODY wants the bag- I for one really wanted it on a couple toons I plan to play in SL but at this point killing him 6 times on one toon and waiting almost 7hours to spawn for another chance and not seeing it once is discouraging- it would be the only thing I actually would keep going forward into SL until we are able to make them ourselves .....

EDIT: I've killed him 9Xs on one toon and haven't seen it, tried my SPRIEST it dropped on first try- go figure LOL

Can confirm that unfortunately you need to be lvl 50 to farm the rares in Icecrown. It appears to be phased and tied to the quest chain that eventually points you to the tournament grounds. RIP alt leveling.

If you die while fighting Blightcaller and he is taken down while you are running back to your body you might get the completed quest, but not get he weapon that he drops. Fight him a second time and it will drop for you. Also, if you stand near him while in ghost form while everyone else burns him down you will still get the drop. I had to do this for two separate toons.

Can anyone confirm if getting the Argent equipment transmog does or does not unlock it for the opposing faction?

Edit: It seems like some stuff carries over and some doesn't? I got Argent cloth boots and chest on my Alliance toon and found the Horde version on Horde toon. But my Alliance leather feet did not carry over to Horde...

I'm really enjoying this event. I especially love the rare delay that allows everyone to get there. My realm is 2/1 horde/alli and there are times I would have missed it without that delay. Thanks Blizz!

1 boss spawn every 20min -ish, you need aproximate 7 hours in order to kill them all

So, I was doing the rares, as horde, in ICC and when going to Brojahm, I was suddenly in a full alliance shard, only 2 other hordes I spotted and we were like "this is awkward". I lolled and raged at the same time as I did almost the complete rotation to get a try a the 34 slots bag :'-)

Why did Week 2 start on a Monday and not on a Tuesday after reset like Week 1? Just curious, seems like odd timing.

As such, you can no longer do Advancing the Effort, which I was using to track character progress on pre-patch activities.

Fortunately, it seems you can still take a character that didn't complete Week 1's Advancing the Effort through Week 2 activities and get credit for With Hope in Hand / With Hope in Hand and Death Rising.

So with the Cafard pestiférées up, as with the last invasions if these are killed you'll become either become infected and can be purged, or be transformed IMMEDIATELY the second the roach dies (although it's possible I was infected while I was turned away from the game and didn't notice). If you help kill an Zombie infectieux player, they'll drop Tissu partiellement digéré for Ally and Cuir partiellement digéré for Horde for a quest.

If you get infected, you'll have one minute to click on an Argent Healer to get auto cured.

As before, combat pets can kill roaches on behalf of pet user classes without the player having to worry about infection.

Looks like Phase 2 just started in NA. The spawn timers are +5 minutes early, and my wife just got obliterated by zombies while AFK in Stormwind. Good luck everyone!

At noon, Monday Nov. 16th, the rares started spawning strangely.
It went;

Prince Taldaram

Then about 7 minutes after Elder Nadox was meant to spawn, he finally spawned.

Noth the Plaguebringer through Lady Deathwhisper have all been about ten minutes apart.
Skadi spawned at 1:12pm PST
Which would put Bronjahm at 1:52pm, PST. I think.

There are four ways to be infected in an invasion: kill a Plagued Rat in Stormwind or Plagued Roach in Orgrimmar, open a crate that has a green gas around it, die to an Infectious Zombie, or be infected by a Zombie Explosion and not seek treatment.

Note: Unlocking a transmog set on one faction sadly does not unlock its counterpart on the other faction.

I don't know when they changed it (or if it was ever actually the case), but once you pass the refund timer this is absolutely not the case--Alliance plate bought with a paladin unlocked the Horde plate on my warrior. The only thing you have to buy multiple times is the cloak, which is faction-specific as well as locked to specific classes.

Dear Blizzard! Where is the mount? The proper one, not the Blue Proto. Like in the previous pre-patch event. I got confused because of my CE, cuz' its contain less than ever, and we couldnt get a mount by the pre-patch as well? Whats going over there?
PS: The most disappointed step was that, bring back the MoP CE's mount into the game shop. I just lost the value of my CE... and the others CE thoo.

After running around trying to find out where Argent Commendations can be exchanged for rep, I realized that they might mean the act of exchanging scourgestones is what gives you rep, not Argent Commendations.
Am I correct or can Argent Commendations be turned in for rep?

Finally have zombies in the Capitals. Just spent two hours in a raid group of fellow zombies absolutely destroying the Portal Room in Orgrimmar. I am curious though as to why the infected crates phase out for a while then come back. Anybody know?

I'm hoping the WoWHead braintrust can help me out here. If I do the weekly Blightcaller world quest, and I get his loot, is it always going to be the ilev 115 weapon? I'm a prot warrior, and I got the sword ... but I'd really like to get a shield. I see that the Sentinel's Cache container is supposed to have a shield, does anyone know if the Blightcaller world quest has a chance to drop that shield?

Note that timers have changed to 10 minutes between each spawn in the 2nd week of Death Rising.
Also, lag has increased to 300%.

If you have an alt that has out-of-season buffs, like DMF or Hallow's End, and you get infected, when you turn into a zombie your buffs will be lost, along with the rep and XP boosts with them.

The solution is if you get infected and are nowhere near an Argent Healer, EXIT THE GAME RIGHT AWAY, BEFORE THE TIMER EXPIRES. Hell, use Alt-F4 if you have to, just get WoW closed down any way you can. Wait out the timer, then start up the game. When you login, your character will be at the closest graveyard, and PvP will be enabled, but most importantly is that you'll still be alive, not be infected, and have your out-of-season buffs.

I arrived late to this party. And frankly I didn't miss anything at all. Imo, this prepatch is the worst in the game's history, absolutely horrible. Guess I'll continue with other stuff till the expansion is out.
