Why run the Black Temple?

The Black Temple is one of the classic raids of WoW. Players still talk about the final boss, .
Pets - Jeune léviathan, Abyssius, Fragment de colère, Fragment de souffrance, Fragment de désir, Sœur de la tentation
Legendary Weapons - Glaive de guerre d'Azzinoth & Glaive de guerre d'Azzinoth - Both drop from Illidian
Cool transmog sets and items like Absolution Regalia (Recolor), Zhar'doom, grand bâton du Dévoreur,Lame de sauvagerie and Vision maudite de Sargeras
Reputation - Aside from a couple of quest lines The Black Temple is the only place to get Ligemort cendrelangue rep. If you are farming rep you will want to kill everything in the Temple since almost every mob gives rep. A full run will give at least 7,000 rep.
Patterns - A lot of patterns can be purchased inside the Temple from the Ashtongue Deathsworn Quartermaster Okuno. A lot more drop in The Black Temple.

I believe jewel crafter's with the appropriate patterns can cut the epic gems to increase the vendor values. Still not worth doing as a gold farm, but every little bit helps.

This is a great guide. Well written and easy to follow. I was able to solo this after many years of being gone from WoW. And before that, I had run it less than 5 times with my guild.Basically it felt as if I had never run it before which is why I was so happy to find this.

I would like to add one thing to this guide. During the Illidian fight, when he tosses down two glaives from which spawn two fire elementals: You want to keep the fire elementals as close to their original glaive as possible. They do a lot more damage the further away from their glaive they get.

How about when you have killed all previous bosses, but the door to Mother Shahraz remains closed? What am I missing?

This guide works but it doesn't help that I can still hear my parents fighting and that I don't have my main hand Warglaive for my PvP Glaive Rogue...
