I'm glad mongoose, executioner, and berserking made it. I wish pre-LK Soins majeurs (swirly golden aura) and Agilité puissante (green with falling leaves) had both made it, but butterflies may make an ok substitution for what I'd use those on.

All enchants added in Mists of Pandaria and earlier can only be applied to items with an ilvl lower than 600.

What if you use Jade SPirit on the BoA Garrosh Staff, and when you gonna level, the iLvl of the weapon will probably be over 600 .. will the enchant remain there or it will be cancelled and removed?

Considering that both Breath and Gift require the same amount of dust, they give the same stats(Gift having a movement speed bonus) (if we compare the otehr one, gift give more than breath)

I have been shared that transmog idea on wow forums a few more years ago and main idea was legendary weapons. Because, we are wasting too many times for that items. But one patch later that items putting on their places in our bank.

It shouldn't be any limitations about transmog. We could use our legendary items for that. Visualization can increase but it can't be much more beautiful like legendary weapons.

Please think about that Blizzard.....

There's more red enchants than Berserking. Bloody Dancing Steel, Glorious Tyranny and Spirit of Conquest, available only from Mists of Pandaria PvP.

As far as I understood, there's only one quest available for crafting professions.

What to do if you have two of them? The approach will be alright when a normal pair is Gathering/Crafting, but! Enchanting/Tailoring and Enchanting/Jewelcrafting is the most common exception. So you can fully upgrade only one of them? That's shame.

The Leveling Catch Up section is somewhat vague. It is a better idea to level up enchanting through these new means and methods?

My question is about the mechanics..
It's going to be like gear transmog where you need to have the "visual" gear in your bank/void storage or anyone (even non-enchanter players) will be able to transmog their enchants out of nothing? I mean, they will need to buy the "visual" enchant or the building will provide it?

Enchanting: Any ring can be enchanted, profession is no longer needed. My question is can anyone enchant their own rings even if they don't have the profession?

I am sure I am missing something. My main is not a enchanter, but my alt is. Will I be able to make ring/cloak and neck enchants for my main on my alt and just send it to the main? Or will I have to have the enchanting building on my main.

Can someone tell me what the use of being an enchanter is other than enchanting your own weaps. I'm seriously considering dropping enchanting in favor of a gathering skill and just getting weapon enchants from the guild enchanter.

This commentary is no longer relevant as Blizzard made more than enough adequate changes to make it easy to have an ample supply of Poussière draenique.

The following is preserved for historical interest :-)

I didn’t spend enough time with enchanting in beta to get a clear sense of how it will fully play out, but it seemed that I was not getting enough Poussière draenique — since many of the drops from questing and looting mobs were rare (blue), or even epic (purple). Also, there are no uncommon (green) quality crafted items to disenchant, either.

There also does not seem to be a way to go from higher level enchanting mats (Petit éclat lumineux, Éclat lumineux,…) to lower level mats (i.e., dust), like there was in MoP enchanting (e.g., Diffusion mystérieuse).

Given that Poussière draenique is used extensively for leveling enchanting, as well as for garrison enchanting building work orders and the daily Secrets d’enchanteur de Draenor (until all the recipes are acquired), I expect it will be difficult to maintain a sufficient “income” of the dust.

Update: Now that I have leveled a few characters to the point of getting their level 2 garrison, having a couple of those with the enchanting building has enabled me to maintain a more than adequate supply of enchanting materials for my enchanter (although I’m still not using the building work orders very much). It would be tight if I was just leveling the one (enchanting) character. I put the enchanting building in the garrisons of my herbalist/miner and skinner, since they didn’t need both small building plots (in the level 2 garrison) for their professions.

Update 2: Blizzard has acknowledged that there is an issue with insufficient dust production (along with other aspects of enchanting being imbalanced). Forum post from Blizzard Community Manager Rygarius, November 24, 2014.

Update 3: Blizzard has started implementing changes to address this. From the November 25 hotfix notes:

Rare (blue) quality items now have a greatly increased chance to disenchant into Draenic Dust instead of a Small Luminous Shard. Additionally, characters with the Enchanting profession should receive more Draenic Dust while disenchanting an item.

Also, from the Blizzard forums:

… We can and have made adjustments to the drop rates via a hotfix to greatly increase the chance of obtaining Draenic Dust while disenchanting a rare (blue) item. There's still a chance to obtain a Luminous Shard but the chance is no longer guaranteed.

Additionally, characters with the Enchanting profession should receive more Draenic Dust while disenchanting an item.…

Correction: Near the very end of this guide, it currently says the garrison enchanting building work orders produce Catalyseur alchimique (which is for the alchemy work orders). The enchanting work orders produce Cristal temporel fracturé (and occasionally a bonus Air ensorceleur or Feu ensorceleur).

Breath Enchants go grey at 630. I'm not sure how you're supposed to get to 700 without spending a fortune or waiting weeks on daily temporal cooldowns.

Anyone having issues with having your illusion enchants removed after entering a dungeon? Is it just certain weapons or certain illusion enchants that are messed up?

Can anyone provide a little more info on being able to DE at your leaders garrison? What can you DE? I tried using the Essence Font on a lower ilvl soulbound epic piece that wasn't an upgrade and it said my skill level wasn't high enough. A little more info up in the guide concerning this would be most helpful.

Also, am I'm reading the guide correctly, the weapons enchants and the temporal crystal cooldown are the only things you can't do as a non-enchanter?

Adding this in after much experimenting....looks like you can only DE greens and blues at an enchanting shack w/out having the profession. You cannot DE epics. And if you have the profession but your skill is <600 you can't even DE the epics until your skill level is high enough. There are also some blues found as treasures that can't be DE'd at all with or without having the profession.

As of 6.0.3 to get all available enchant formula You will need to get 55 x Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor, base on daily cool down it will take 55 days. Each Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor costs 3 x Poussière draenique so in total You will need to get 165 of Poussière draenique to cover all Secrets d’enchanteur de Draenor

ok enchanters I'm just starting out ~175 skill, I'm doing some research, and wondered if you had already figured a few things out that I was wondering about:

1) From what I gather, an enchanter can perform ANY enchant in this expansion with 1 skill in enchanting, as long as they just buy the recipe, is this true?
2) If this is the case, is there even any reason to worry about skilling up? The only benefit I'm seeing is better results from your daily cooldown, but the cost to reach high enchanting skill would be huge (especially from where I'm starting)
3) If you are an enchanter, with an enchantment building, the ONLY benefit I'm seeing is the ability to do "unique looking" weapon enchants, that functionally are the same. As well as to turn dust, into shards via work orders. Am I understanding this right?

As a result, if I'm understanding these things correctly I'm thinking that I probably don't need to worry about leveling up my enchanting, I just need to get the recipes and get going. I'm also thinking I can probably destroy my enchanting building. I'm not really too worried about the unique looking weapon enchants, and I can always just buy shards off the AH, if I don't get enough from Disenchanting. Any thoughts on this approach?

When i leveled my enchanter, ever blue i disenchanted resulted in a full luminous shard. My shaman using the Enchanter's Study often gets small shards.
Does the Enchanter's Study de ability result in less mats than a normal enchanter?

Draenic Dust is in very low supply right now.

This is for a couple of reasons:

1. Quest rewards often upgrade to blues or purples.

2. The are no lower 90-91 greens to craft with basic mats for Tailoring, Blacksmithing, or Leatherworking.

There have been many many complaints about this on the WoW forums. Blizzard have come out and said they are aware of the problem and are looking at addressing it.

So, hang in there Enchanters, a fix may be in the works.

Seem to lose your illusion enchant whenever teleporting into ashran (the city not the PvP area), very frustrating having to do it over and over, and with the use of 5 draenic dust each time its almost not worth it.

My main has enchanting.
If I understeand the comments above correctly enchanters can enchant weapons unlike toons with Garrison Enchanting who cant. Is that correct? Will there be no drops of rare enchanting recipies in the future?
Why is it that the weapon enchant only can be applied to melee weapon? Thus I will never get an enchant on my hunter, my priest or my druid. What a bummer for future healers...

I'm confused by the enchants of old. Have they been deliberately de-powered? For example, the August Celestial vendor for Bracers - Super Intellect - claims to give 160 intellect to bracers - and still does in WoD. Yet purchased and in my enchanting list and used in practice - only gives 16 intellect to Bracers. This is similar with many other enchants.

So, these weapon enchants, they wouldn't work on a staff or wand, would they? Are there plans for caster weapon enchants? I couldn't find this anywhere. Even daggers, casters don't melee, do these enchants trigger anyway? Or are they exclusive for melee dps?

For clarification purposes:

You cannot transmog a weapon and use an illusion at the same time if the transmog look has a glow effect already.. The transmog glow is prioritized over the illusion glow.

For instance, I wanted to use Jaded Crystal dagger for my rogue with power torrent to have it glow blue, red and purple. Doesn't work; just shows the Crystal dagger frost glow by itself.

Weapon Enchants (using Mark of the Shattered Hand) do not give +10 skill ups.

I started at 10 skill with said weapon enchant and attempted to enchant three times. Not once did it give more than a single skill up.

If I enchant BoA weps with this enchant and give to a lvl 1 rogue will the mastery proc and will the stat work for the character. I see that WoD crit, spirit, and haste enchants all work but, I'm just curious that's all

I don't know why this wasn't made clear - unless I missed it some how... but do you need to have the enchanting profession skill to use these 'illusions'? I don't see any illusions on the AH and noticed they are BoP. -.-

Recipes in 'enchantments by slot' are wrong. Just purchased a fair amount of Sorc Air, expecting them to work for gift of haste enchants, but the cloak requires Earth, and the ring requires Fire.

It now takes 51 Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor (153 Poussière draenique) to buy every recipe, instead of 55.

The WoD-only stat Multistrike was removed once Legion went live, and 5 of the recipes bought with Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor were removed with it:
- Neck: Breath of Multistrike
- Neck: Gift of Multistrike (made with Eau ensorceleuse)
- Cloak: Breath of Multistrike
- Cloak: Gift of Multistrike (made with Feu ensorceleur)
- Ring: Gift of Multistrike*

Legion also added Formula: Tome of Illusions: Draenor for 1 Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor, adding up to 51. As of 8.3 there is still a daily cooldown on crafting Secrets of Draenor Enchanting, so it will still take you 51 days to collect all the recipes.

Wowhead seems to show the formerly-Multistrike links as duplicates of other stats, which is why there are doubles in the guide.

* - The other ring enchant, Ring: Breath of Multistrike, was learned from Enchantement de Draenor and couldn't be purchased with Secret d'enchanteur de Draenor. It was removed at the same time as the other Multistrike enchants.
