What is it good for?

Transmog - this building has a rotating set of quest giving NPCs. John J. Keeshan offers Froid comme l’acier which rewards a transmoggable Bandana ensanglanté. You can also buy the transmoggable Fendoir à viande from the Level 2 or 3 Inn if you have 700 Cooking.

Collections - this building has several toy and pet rewards from dungeon quests.

Gear - this building has dungeon quests which rewards gear and Apexis Crystals.

Followers - this building allows you to recruit followers weekly

Costs and Blueprints

Level 1 blueprints all become available to you when your Garrison reaches Tier 2.

Level 2 Blueprints for Medium buildings: Reach level 98 or complete the Flèches d’Arak Outpost quests. Blueprints cost or free if you have Notes de montage pour la construction d'avant-poste, which you get on completing your Outpost quest chains.

Level 3 blueprints unlock when you are level 100 and have completed Restez un instant et écoutez-moi. The blueprint costs .

Level 3 blueprints are account-wide. Once you unlock one on a character, it’s available to all characters on your account.

What does it offer?

Level 1: Each day, a visitor offering a dungeon quest will spend the day at your inn.

Level 2: Recruits random followers each week. You can specify traits and abilities you're especially interested in.

Level 3: Unlocks the particularly lucrative treasure hunter missions.

So apparently in the Everbloom heroic, the quest item is grab-able before the first boss. So for the last 3 times i Que'd for it the tank would pull all the way to the item, and drop along with the healer. The first few times I just left after 10 minutes and re-queued. Well now I got tired of this so me and a hunter have been sitting in queue for 30 more minutes in this instance.

That is 90 minutes just waiting to get into a group to start the heroic, and another 50+ just to do the first boss.

So please for the love of God hot fix the item to appear behind the last boss. All i need is the first 2 bosses anyway, but this is ridiculous.

With the Auberge de Chutelune / Taverne de Mur-de-Givre Niveau 1, you get rotating NPCs that have cool dungeon quests. Two of these quests reward pets: Pour les oiseaux and Les chasseresses.

La moisson de la chasseuse de têtes teaches you how to recruit your first follow. You can select what Trait or Follower Ability you want, and it will return a list of followers.

You can further refine what Trait you’d like, ranging from Profession Building boosts to shortening your mission time.

Once you select an ability, you cannot change it.

Only one follower can be recruited per week.

Soulare d’Andorhal

You have a chance to recruit this follower when searching for a counter to Wild Aggression.

If you /praise him, he will cast a temporary sunbeam and buff you with Louer la Lumière.

Feu de joie de voyageur can be acquired by emoting him with /tired.

This is a great addition early on as you're able to get followers of your choice. Going for ones with your particular profession skill will shorten the number of work orders you'll need to get the catalyst items for your profession. That and followers are assist in the weekly invasions so a team of your favorite heroes makes it more enjoyable :)

When you select a trait or ability at your headhunter and press choose recruit you are locked into that choice for the week and must choose between those three followers, so don't make a selection unless that's the trait/ability that you really want.

Not to sound stupid, but, are the followers you recruit here are permanent? I'm not sure where I read they only lasted the week, I am looking for some clarification before switching my buildings.

Another Information for people with an inn, if you take a quest you do not need to complete it the same day.
If you finish it later the NPC will phase in your Inn for a short moment, allowing you to hand in the quest and get your reward!

The daily quests don't have to be handed in the same day. If the quest giver isn't inside the inn, you'll probably find them behind it.

Edit: That was with a level 1 inn. In my level 2 one I can find old quest givers in the basement.
Edit2: Just found an old quest giver on the second level of my level 2 inn. So pretty much, if they're not in the main room they'll definitely be around somewhere.

If you're like me and think this building is going to be a good way to get followers, then think again. The three followers you get to choose from are all level 90. It'll be a while before you can actually put whatever trait/ability you chose to good use cause they're so damn low-level! It's a freaking sham. I can't believe I tore down my Barn for this thing >:|

What happens if you take a quest here, complete it.. but forget to hand it in.. then you change ur Inn into something else.. can you hand it in somewhere?

The second time I found Lysa Serion the Headhunter she didn't have a quest to offer but when I clicked on her she had a chat option which opened up the selection process for another follower. So apprently you must look for her yourself. There is no indication on your maps that she is there to offer another follower, not like the first time.

Is it worth it to keep a Lvl 3 Inn after doing all the quests at least once? I already have all the followers i want + 2 or 3 i got from the Headhunter. Do the treasure hunting missions appear frequently? Im thinking of replacing my Inn with a Stables to get the mounts but im still not sure...

For those that dont bother running the heroic dungeons just for your daily Inn-Quest,
simply extend your Lockout ID ( /raidinfo then select the needed Dungeon and click: Extend Raidlock).

The Dungeon should be empty and you can simply loot the needed item. No fuzz.

Of course you need to have cleared the Dungeon on Heroic at least once before.
I am not sure if this works in Grimrail Depot because of the Train derailing at the end.

Its been nearly seven days since I've picked up the quest from Leonid Barthalomew le Révéré to go to Auchidoun, collect the Soulweave Vessel to return to him but he's nowhere to be found in my Garrison. I have a level 2 Tavern but he's nowhere in there. I've had other quests where the givers show up day(s) later to my Tavern awaiting my return, except for Leonid. I've tried swapping the Taverns location with another building of the same size but he didn't show up there either. He's not upstairs or in the basement, either. If anyone can offer some kind of solution to this please reply.

For the longest time, moving your Inn/Tavern to your other medium plot in your garrison would make some extra npc's spawn in there allowing for some late dungeon quest turn-ins. This trick does not seem to work anymore as of December 5th. (maybe earlier)

I've just made the dumb mistake to recruit a random follower from the inn just to see how this works. Now I can't get rid of him. I also can't deactivate him. I already have 22/25 "real" followers and several more waiting for me in Draenor.
How can I get rid of him? I would like to choose another next week but I can't because I will have reached the limit of 25 until then (which I don't want to deactivate because they are lvl 100).

Looks like pretty much all of the Dungeon Quests have been updated to include killing the final boss of the dungeon so no more stealth grab and runs and no more groups getting abandoned once the item is obtained.

So it says you can get one folower each week does the follower quest reset every wednesday(eu) so I can get my inn att tuesday and have my follower on wednesday or is it a 7 day counter?

I'm pretty sure they fixed the Milhouse Manastorm issue where he wasn't spawning. I would remove the section that says you should rebuild your inn to make him respawn since it will cost time and resources that are not necessary.

Note: If you swap buildings you can NOT turn in the quests from the Inn/Tavern.

You also can not hand in these quests by visiting a friend's garrison.

I made the mistake of swapping out my Tavern for another building while there were still quests from there in my log; upon completion a gold ? appears on the mini-map but the NPC is not visible to interact with.

Edit: Apparently rebuilding the Inn will allow you to turn in the quests - but when I did so, I couldn't find the NPC right away so I confess I got fed up and abandoned the quest.

Getting sick of "guides" that omit so much information. I really prefer going back to no guides and having good comments. At least you won't have to look so much to find out there's no information.

I'd like to have a list of followers by trait, or by terrain, etc. without being stuck into just one category. I really don't understand how a "guide" can fail on this issue. That's all I needed to know and it's clearly disappointing when the interface locks you to a trait and you're unable to look PRIOR to selecting with bad guides and comments clearly showing how confusing the problem is.

Does it negatively affect you to fail on missions? I sometimes like to assign my followers to missions even though there is close to 50% chance of success, but I don't want to be doing it if I run out of missions or if there is a bad side effect.

I don't know if any limit is on the followers, like if they just randomize names classes specs and gear, or if you can actually get every follower available, like they made specific ones up that you can EVENTUALLY get all of. If anyone can figure this out, I'd be very grateful.

There are 243 followers available via inn, 6-7 per spec, of which 2 are rare. This means it'd take more than 4.5 years to get all inn followers, assuming Blizzard don't add more in the future. In other words, getting them all during the WoD addon is impossible. You could focus on getting all rares but this could very well take the full 4.5 years.

I suggest you focus on special traits like epic mount, scavenger and extra experience. Of course, if you are short on a specific ability, it is a good idea to pick those too. If one suggestion comes with a special trait, the better. Racial boni aren't to be underestimated, they can be really powerful if used right, and easily offset a shortage of specific abilities. You'll likely encounter this problem with high level missions, where 6 abilities need to be countered. So, let's say you have lots of draenei in your army, then favor inn followers with the Ally of Argus trait. If you have tons of a specific racial bonus already, e.g. Child of the Moon, focus on getting more night elves. Pairing two racials (e.g a draenei with Child of the Moon and a night elf with Ally of Argus) is pretty powerful since it can compensate fully for a missing ability counter.

You're done with all the inn dailies and achievements and want to check out another medium building, but you don't want to miss out on your weekly follower?
If you're willing to micro-manage your garrison and use some cash, GR and time, you can have both! Every two weeks, scrap a medium building on monday (US) resp. tuesday (EU), build an inn, upgrade it to level 2, get your follower, wait until reset, and get another follower. Build your usual building again and repeat every other week. The whole stunt will cost you 1400 gold and GR, and 5 hours of building time, assuming your alternative building is level 3.
As of what to replace, well, it depends on your garrison build. I'd avoid scrapping the Gladiator's Sanctum as long as you're on a Nemesis quest, because it might bug. The other three buildings are probably safe to replace. I can confirm that by scrapping the trading post, you lose nothing (rep is permanent). Just don't forget that you temporarily lose the building boni!

Aside from the toys given on quests, and Millhouse Manastorm as a follower, is there anything truly distinctive about this building that makes it worth keeping after you have all of them?

Until patch 6.1 will be released, the tavern might not be the best choice for a medium slot building especially for people that don't run dungeons anymore.

After 6.1 and with the implementation of Treasure Hunter Trait, this building will finally become useful as a slow but reliable gold income source through the Treasure Hunter missions. Another thing worth mentioning is that in 6.1 there is a chance you will get a random quest to kill the last boss in a dungeon which will reward you with garrison resources. This might be useful if paired up with any quests you might get for that dungeon from your tavern/inn.

Even so you must consider that most gold you can get from one of those missions (assuming all the followers that are sent on the mission have the above mentioned trait and they succeed) would be 450g for the rare mission and 200g for some of the lesser ones.

Summing up all of the above mentioned benefits, the resource gain from tavern/inn will not be as high as the one from lumber mill/trading post but the missions can make up for it.

If you build the inn to level 2 recruit the follower, then destroy it and rebuild can you get another in the same week?
Was wondering because if you do that with the stables you activate the next daily each time you rebuild. (at least at the start)

This building is great if you have Harrison Jones. His unique trait mentor allows you to practically bump the level 90 followers you recruit each week up to 100 in a single mission if you put them in a 10000 xp mission with some group xp bonuses.
I've been using him and the inn to recruit an army of lvl 100 ilvl 675 tauren treasure hunters so far half of my followers are level 100 and treasure hunters thanks to this combo.
