Season 2 Changes
With the start of Season 2 and the coming of Battle of Dazar'alor, pieces that previously had four rings will now have five. This new ring comes before the Ring 1 and offer two different spec traits for each specialization. Note that Items from Uldir weren't updated with this change.

Ring 0 contains Spec traits and is the first section available on each item with two choices for each specialization. This ring is a new feature, found on Armor starting in Season 2, and requires only 15 levels on your Heart of Azeroth to be unlocked.

Ring 1 contains Spec/Zone traits and is the second section available on each item and will likely be available to select as soon as you acquire a given piece of gear, contain traits based on your class specs and source of the trait.

Ring 2 contain Role traits, based on the roles your class can perform. It is only found on epic item level 340+ gear. Lower-level armor won't have this ring.

Ring 3 contains Defensive/Utility traits and is the last set of choices available in the piece;

Final Ring always has Renforcé par l’azérite, which increases the item level of the armor piece it is in by 5 item level. The effect, in turn, increases the power from all previous rings.

Lame froide, sang chaud: Benefits from Enrage, ignores armor, increases rage generation, and greatly boosts the value of Critical Strike. When cleaving Bloodthirst, each hit has a separate chance to crit, creating multiple chances to proc the trait and good uptime as a result, making it the best trait to stack for multi-target and very competitive with Reckless Flurry on single target (if not outright better with enough Crit).

Fureur infinie: Provides a small, though persistent, critical strike chance increase, which should never fall without some sort of downtime leaving you unable to attack a target. Synergizes well with both Lame froide, sang chaud and Férocité déchaînée.

Coups pulvérisants: Increases the damage of Saccager by a variable amount, typically 2-3 stacks per. Coup déchaîné chance to reset makes the stack count inconsistent, and Rampage should not be delayed in order to maximize the bonus.

Déluge intrépide: Averages 10% reduction to Témérité cooldown. Multiple traits only increase auto attack damage and do not grant additional cooldown reduction.

Rage débordante: Increased rage generation allows for more Saccager use. Neither cleaving Rampage or stacking multiple traits will generate extra rage.

Férocité déchaînée: Has no RPPM protection, making it less consistent, though capable of chaining multiple times in a row. If Recklessness is already active, it will add 4 seconds to the duration. Stacking multiple traits do not increase the rage generated.

Âmes liées - Useful in that it also benefits an ally, although the effect is fairly weak in order to compensate for that bonus.

Accord perfide - Powerful, although potentially deadly, particularly during progression encounters.

Archive des Titans - Your armor gathers and analyzes combat data every 5 sec, increasing your primary stat by 1, stacking up to 20 times. The data decays while out of combat. Enables Matrice de réorigination within Uldir.

Matrice laser - Your spells and abilities have a chance to release a barrage of lasers, dealing Arcane damage split among all enemies and restoring 0 health split among injured allies. Enables Matrice de réorigination within Uldir.

Engineering Traits

Barrage de bombes - Useful in Mythic+ due to high potential AoE damage, although they require the targets to be clumped well and the bombs have travel time, making it possible for them to miss or fail to spread their damage.
