The Dreamrift - Chimaerus

Rolling in The Dreamrift until you drop Regard de prophète d’Aln is the most logical raid option, as it is both the strongest trinket Shadow has access to and drops from a boss with a loot pool of only 3 items.

Sporefall - Embourbe-pourri

If you have access to Mythic Sporefall, then it is an incredibly strong place to use reroll tokens with 4 of the 5 items on the loot table being Best in Slot or close to it. If you don't plan to defeat Embourbe-pourri on Mythic then do not use your rerolls on this boss.

Nexus-Point Xenas -

Rolling in Nexus Point is a strong choice because of the sheer volume of useable options. Out of the 7 potential drops, there are 6 that can be used by Shadow in a best in slot or near best in slot setup. Especially Outil multifonction de noyétincelle and the Omission de la Lumière, Occlusion du Vide ring set for those without access to Mythic Sporefall loot.

The Voidspire - Vaelgor

Rolling on Vaelgor until you drop Ultime regard de Vaelgor. This is Shadow's second best trinket and an extremely powerful on use trinket. As this boss has 4 items on its loot table then it will take you a maximum of 4 weeks to obtain.

If you will not get myth track items or need the power increase to progress the content then craft, but hold off as long as you can to avoid having to replace items and waste crests or sparks.

If you do not get a Myth-track 2-handed weapon from a very early great vault, then you'll want to craft one as soon as possible.

Craft a low value slot with Doublure en tisse-arcane (or nothing, see description) Explanation

If you've looted a Myth-track 2 handed weapon, then you can spend your third craft getting your second embellishment (since you won't have one on a weapon). If you are still using your crafted weapon, then crafting on boots, wrists, or cloak is a good option if you have no other use for myth crests.

Below are the top priorities for using Ascendant Voidcores for Shadow Priest.

This is a standin for any max ilvl weapon or max crafted weapon. Weapons scale the most with item level out of all other slots and should be your first priority to upgrade with Voidcores.
This is Shadow's strongest trinket and in general will be slightly easier to get at max ilvl than Vaelgors. If you do not have access to mythic raid trinkets, then Heart of Wind would be a suitable alternative.
Shadow's other strongest trinket, coming from the 4th boss of the Voidspire. If you do not have access to this trinket then consider Emberwing Feather from Windrunner Spire.

I think this should be self-explanatory, but this guide only shows the best items that drop from the raid, it isn't actually a Shadow Priests's exact BiS gear.

"From early sim data, intellect is worth 3 times as much as haste, which is our top secondary stat. Due to the vast amounts of sources of gear and the limited amount of time pre patch will be available, it's not recommended to completely swap to a haste/mastery set as a full haste/crit set isn't too far behind and still does comparable DPS."

If that's the case shouldn't Vita be dropped for other trinkets in Nyalotha such as Humming Black Dragonscale that has INT and can proc haste or Forbidden Obsidian Claw that has INT and a very strong on demand DOT or even Manifesto of Madness that also has INT and the ability to get Crit/Vers (though they are on the lower end of our secondaries).

Might need to take a second look at this?

The Mythic+ gear lists two items as drops from Halls of Valor, but they are actually from The Nokhud Offensive.

The trinkets seem way off, Spiteful Storm is not good, Invokers Codex is much better its also from Raszegath and not Nokhud. Both of the PvP trinkets are better than most listed as well.

Based on my sims I think the Glove Slot is going to be a better slot for the Pièce d’armure trempée dans l’ombreflamme embellishment than the Chest due to the Poignées du séraphin de la fournaise being heavy on Versatility and light on Haste. The heavy Crit on Maîtrise du séraphin de la fournaise is going to outweigh the relatively small amount of Haste on the Gloves.

This list seems to be missing Langue à pointes de Naraxas from Neltharion's Lair which is actually the best Trinket overall for Shadow Priest and should go nicely with Butin de Neltharus since the Naraxas trinket isn't an on-use trinket.

I think, that section "Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Best in Slot Gear for Shadow Priest" has error. BiS chest from the AtSC is Reanimator's Wicked Cassock. We do not need 5 piece of the set.

"Ominous Chromatic Essence you should aim to use either the Emerald or Obsidian buffs." - Emerald is crit, which is listed as one of the worst stats (to the point of classifying Screaming Black Dragonscale as an "F" trinket, because its proc gives crit. So... that doesn't really make sense.

Hello! I'm wondering why Rod of Perfect Order (offhand) isn't better than Trickster's Captivating Chime (offhand)? They both have the same int, they're both haste/mastery, but Perfect Order has more haste than Trickster's. I thought Haste was our better stat? Surely Rod of Perfect Order is better, then?

I was reading through the bis list in the post, but it leaves me confused. You've listed the Locus-Walker's Ribbon trinket as best in slot trinket in the top 4 most important items from the raid, and then 2 seconds later you rate the same trinket as B-tier in the tier list. Which of the 2 is it? Would love to know.
