Well.... it`s kinda simple the problem ( i think ):
1) The Wowhead client sees the account as your old account, but instead you are using a battlenet account.
2) Cache is storing info regarding the bnet account, because u log it using the email address, and not the account name any longer
In other words... i think that client stores info as bnet account, wowhead client as old account, and here is the problem.... don`t know for sure.. for me afther it gets to 100%, it gives "upload failed" ... so it`s just a client to client problem from my oppinion.

Having a battle.net account or not shouldn't matter. WoW still uses same system for storing data (ie, folders based on the name of your WoW account). Two different WoW accounts don't share addon settings/SavedVariables, keybinds, macros, etc. between them even if they are linked to the same bnet account. It's more of a meta account of sorts, only for login purposes.
Your wow account name is actually still a part of the login process, though unless you have multiple wow accounts linked to the bnet account, you'll never notice. It will just use the only one you have by default.
Also, from what I could find, the e-mail address you use to login isn't mentioned anywhere than in the config.wtf file, which i doubt the wowhead client have any interest in reading.
Anyway. I'm having the same problem with uploads. "Error in upload."
Running Avast, not AVG or NOD32. Will see if disabling it have any effect.

I have run into something weird here, I am working with clamwin here, and up to the 3.2 patch I had no problem uploading the logs.
Evere since 3.2 went live, I am not able to upload the dump. It sends it fine, but I guess a crc or other check returns an error. Upload stays at 100%.
Maybe a simple bug :-)

Also having the "Error in upload" issue at 100%. Using avast! 4.8.1335, tried disabling it with no effect.

Still not working for me, August 13.
I disabled all virus scanners and firewall programs, too. No dice.
Still "Authentication failed", before even uploading something.
Sad part is that I saw some things drop that aren't in the Wowhead database yet, and I think I'm not the only one.

Looking back over this thread—I know the anti-virus conflict is still an issue for some users (try unblocking port 80, if that helps), but is anyone still getting the "Authentication Failed" error?

2 different issues. The one you describe is about what appears to be a conflict between the client and some antivirus software. We haven't fully tracked that one down yet. The one mentioned earlier was an authentication error that appeared to be related to some server trouble we were having.
