The dark elves.

Hello everyone. I would like to create a dark elf (with the help of MRP.) But I cant seem to find much online. Like, at all. Its not much to go on to really get myself familiar with the race, mostly speculation. So I have a few questions; Who exactly were the dark elves? Where did they originate? Where is their homeland/capitol? Are they related in any way to the night elves? And lastly, is there anything official blizzard has said about dark elves? Ive heard they are just devlopmental versions of night elves, but whatever.

Dark Elves = Night Elves, a synonym used in (early editions) of the book "Day of the Dragon", which came out before WC3.

However, why would you want to RP a "Dark Elf" if you know next to nothing about them? Just because of the name?

Dark Elves do not exist in the Warcraft lore; they are the Night Elves in this verse..

And he's trying to make a Dark Elf from the Forgotten Realm verse....guessing there is about to be a new Drzz'it being created.

Though the dark rangers too are kinda like dark elves, though pale, but with the right eyes.

As said before. WoW does not have dark elves. But depending on what elements intrest you with dark elves you can intergrate a char to the universe with those elements.

Ofcourse not. And neither are the night elves as the night elves are very nature-loving (like a wood elf) and they don't have houses or nobility.

Cultually the blood elves are the closest wow has to dark elves IMO.

In some ways perhaps the naga are closer to the drow?

Well we will get to see more of the naga once we will go and raid the wicked queen.

So then we can see how drow like they are.
