Bryta. You came here, lost in an argument too Goshad , went away for a bit, came back and tried too use ad hominem. Goshad and Monjaru put up two very good arguments too counter first the OPs, and then Hajisute. Just cause' you lost (yeah, don't deny it) doesn't mean you have too come back with a miserable attempt of ad hominem.
You may not like Goshad for whatever reason, that's fine. But really, he puts up extremely well thought out arguments, and when you respond with exactly with what he wants you too, you've lost.
I have nothing against Goshad, infact I rather like him. His enthusiasm for battling idiocy is inspiring.

I'm sure it must have been said several times, but I don't really want to read through this thread of slight retardation to look for it, so I'll just say/repeat it now:

Most PvP players are ALSO PvE players. The really good ones are in higher-tier raiding guilds AND high-end Arena teams. That's why these people get both gear, is because they put in the time and effort into BOTH aspects of the game.

It's perfectly fair for PvE gear to be used in PvP, if it has better stats people are going to use them. If you are serious about PvP then do a few raids or something for that gear too. You have to be committed and spend time to get the best stuff, you can't expect to waltz into a raid in greens and come out in full epics and topping damage, or survive if you're a tank, or heal through all the incoming damage as a healer. Just like you can't waltz into an arena in greens and expect to survive for very long and actually kill your opponents.

Just because YOU don't have the best gear doesn't mean that those that DO shouldn't be allowed to use them. Different people and time schedules are different. Get over it.

You are correct about warriors needing ArP. Warriors were balanced around using ArP, because if they were balanced around strength (pvp gear) than Wars with ArP would be gods in PvP. Thus making it a requirement for PvP.

Warriors hit quite hard regardless of whether or not they had armor penetration. More of it made them hit a little bit harder, but it really wasn't that huge of a bonus. You didn't need ArP gear to hit 2k... Your weapon swings do more damage, but it doesn't magically win you games.

Maybe you just don't understand what "viable" means...

An appropriately skilled (read: good) player could take a warrior to the highest levels of PvP (just like any other class) to the highest ranks of arena play.

You are correct about warriors needing ArP. Warriors were balanced around using ArP, because if they were balanced around strength (pvp gear) than Wars with ArP would be gods in PvP.

Warriors were balanced around ArP in PvE. Strength wasn't a better choice than Armor Penetration for PvE purposes until higher-end gear.

Good warriors with healers were gods in PvP, because they were good. Armor penetration didn't magically make them able to win fights.

This would be like saying that mages need to use PvE gear not because it makes their spells do more damage, but because it makes all of their abilities better, and they can't win without it. Blatantly untrue. PvE gear has been advisable and helpful, but it was never a requirement. Ever.

Altmost 95% warriors used armor pen, BiS Items that I had, DBW, Grimtoll was an option NES Castlebreaker chestpiece, hellfrozen bonegrinders and malevolent girdle. 2k is nothing you can get 2k as rogue/warrior lol. if you wanna get above 2.2k use armor pen. and also if you were playing a mirror comp pally/war vs pally/war, the person with more armor pen wins. you wont kill a pally with using full str gems or any healer. also I haven't seen a warrior past 2.2k stacking str...
