Fel Carrier has arrived.
Gotta say, I did not expect legion gunships. That's the first indicator that $%&# just got real.
When gunships arrive
.
Also, is it me, or did the legion apparently struck a deal with the Xel'naga? Its not just me, right?(##RESPBREAK##)520##DELIM##Rankkor##DELIM##

At least Illidin is the only side of the 'it cannot be' crush. Though again, I wonder at the harem halls in the Black Temple. Tyrande wants none of him, despite his running around shirtless and brooding more than batman. Unless they knock off Malfurion...

Whelp, I just saw that awesome video of the DK Class Hall Campaign, and HOLY #$%& THAT'S A LOT OF STUFF HAPPENING!!!!!!.
Because I need to rant/ramble about it, I'll just type it here under spoiler tags.
It shows the raising of 3 of the Four Horsemen, and the rescue of Koltira.
Rescuing Koltira:
well, that was anti-climactic. I mean, if it was this easy, why didn't anyone do it before? Thassarian decides to bust Koltira out of the undercity, because he's needed and Sylvanas has refused any attempts at negotiating his release. Turns out it was as easy as going into the UC from the back sewer, turning right, going to the laboratory under the royal quarter, slaying a single abomination guarding it, opening Koltira's cage, and having him use the Death Gate spell. No drama, no fuss, no alarms. Nobody even knows we're there, since a total of like 6 ghouls and 4 abominations are all that stands along the way.
(Sylvanas should really think of plugging that thing up, its tactical benefit is questionable at best, and this is the second time an invading force gets through her city with impunity. I mean..... sheesh at the very least put more people guarding that thing than a single dumb abomination that can easily be enslaved by a Death Knight.)
If it was that easy, why has nobody done this before?
Raising Nazgrim
Very straightforward, we just go to his grave in Durotar, raise him, tell him that the legion has returned, and he says (Paraphrased) "You talk too much. If this world that I fought, bled, and died for, is in danger once more, then my eternal rest will have to wait. Into battle I go, once more".
Raising Sally
This one was more interesting. Because on this one we have a double-goal. Not only do we raise whitemane, we also finish off "Officially" the scarlet crusade. Yep. Thassarian deems that this deranged cult of maniacs has tormented and terrorized the world long enough, so we kill 2 birds with one stone, getting whitemane, and putting the rest of these rabid dogs to the ground, torching the monastery on top of it.
I can only imagine the reaction of the Scarlet Crusaders when they see my character :P Bear in mind that at this point, my Blood Elf Dk has: Utterly decimated their forces in the scarlet enclave, completely obliterated their forces in New Hearthglenn, absolutely annihilated every single man and woman they had on the Scarlet Harbor, went back to the Scarlet Monastery during MoP to finish the job, and now is back AGAIN to the same monastery to finish them up for good. I can just imagine every single one of those crusaders going "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM US MAN?!?!?!?!"
Ejem........Sally's reaction to being raised is more interesting. As it turns out, death gave her a lot of perspective over all the crap she did in life, and now she's filled with regret, and believes to be unworthy of being among the living once again. Thassarian however, says that in fighting the legion, she can atone for her crimes, and maybe even find redemption for her soul. While she's hesitant that a soul as tainted as hers can ever be redeemed, she's willing to find out.
And so comes the final chapter, of the Scarlet Crusade.
Ironically, it was Trollbane the one who provided by far the heaviest plot bombs. One of them I did not see coming. If any of ye reading this wanted to one day see Stromgarde rise again...... well.......... you got it. Maybe not in the way you wanted, but you got it.
Turns out Prince Galen has seceded from the forsaken!!!! Moreover, he took with him all the other forsaken that were raised from Stromgardian citizens, formed an impromptu militia, and marched his forces towards Stromgarde, and conquered it. He kicked out the Syndicate, and kicked out the Ogres. And yes, he slayed the last living members of Stromgarde, and raised them as forsaken. How the hell he managed that without a valkyr, don't ask me. The game doesn't elaborate. He proclaimed himself "King" of stromgarde, and declared his independence. From the horde, the alliance, and anyone else. He says his kingdom is now sovereign land, and neither sylvanas, nor varian, nor anyone has any say on the fate of their lands.
When the knights of the Ebon Blade go to ask permission to access his father's grave (which can only be accessed with Trol'kalar, which is in Galen's hands) he says he'll agree only if you help him get rid of the last intruders in his kingdom. Turns out he was only able to clear out the segments of Stromgarde held by the syndicate and ogres. The trolls were too much for him and he can't get them out............
/facepalm
You do realize you have a sword, legendary for carving trolls like butter.
*sighs*
Whatever, we clear the trolls out, behead their leader, and then........ he just had to be stupid. Yep, in a strange turn of events, he says "Stromgarde is MINE, and neither Sylvanas, nor my father will take it back from me!!!!" and sics his guards on us. So we kill his paltry "honor guard", chase him to the Stromgardian chapel, have a final showdown, and he whines that we can't do this to him, he's king dammit!!!! >_>
I must add that Nazgrim is a complete BAMF both here and in the scarlet monastery, he's able to use Asphyxiate on multiple targets at once. Just like Saurfang Jr in Icecrown. Hey blizzard, when do we get THAT talent? *wink-wink*
We recover Trol'kalar from Galen's corpse, go to his father's grave, raise him, and what do you think its the first thing he asks us?
"Where's my son? Where's Galen?
Where is the prince that murdered his king
?"
Hmm....... I did
NOT
see this coming. Ohh galen, you sneaky little #$%&er. You betrayed your old man, you betrayed sylvanas, you betrayed the very knights who helped you secure your kingdom. Now I don't feel like such a scumbag for having to kill you............ Again.
Anyhows, Thoras is apparently cut from the same cloth as Nazgrim. His kingdom may be dead and barren, but he'll be damned if he's just gonna sleep beneath the earth while a bunch of demons plan to take root on HIS soil. He'll fight. He does quite a display during the assault on the Scarlet Monastery I may add.
Sweet merciful god, that was a lot of stuff for just ONE Class Hall Campaign. There's still 11 more for the other classes. And this particular campagin is incomplete, since there's still Tirion left, and a few other stuff too.
Maybe Legion wont be as bad after all.

Snaps. I guess the Horsemen get their Ashbringer expy from somewhere I never expected.
Seriously. Son betrays daddy and gets him killed, steals his epic magic blade and is a complete *!@# about the whole thing and joins another faction of monsters.
Still, Death Knights looks pretty good. And I hear great things about the warlock one too. Blizz seems to be going full out here. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a Cataclysm situation where one side is really well done and awesome, and then you get the main story which wanders around like a guy with a concussion before falling down the sewer main and dying.

So horde/undead betray their faction? And does that count as a wimp point to Kolitra?
Atleast the legion can counter those blimps and helicarriers, would be strange that if they don't as they have ninja fel reaver mechs.
Anything from hunter hunter hall? I got a Windrunner and I hear nuthin' 'bout her. Even Paladons have more Windrunner than I do...
(I also have the other ranger general and the arathi dark ranger maybe dark ranger general?)

So horde/undead betray their faction?
Not really. She had no rights to kidnap him, and the Ebon Blade tried to negotiate for his release and she refused.
This quest is for DKs exclusively, and a DKs loyalty is to the Ebon Blade first, and the horde/alliance second. We're working WITH them, not FOR them. Same deal as our deal with The Scourge. While from a gameplay perspective players belong to and are subordinate to the horde forces, from a lore perspective, Death Knights are more like mercenaries, and/or close allies rather than actual members.
Its the same reason Thassarian says "
I'm done wasting my time fighting for useless plots of land. If I am to suffer this
curse
of undeath, I may as well fight for a more worthwhile cause.
" and essentially broke away from the alliance's chain of command. They would have him waste his talents on petty squabbles while the rest of the world burns.

Since he was on loan to the Forsaken, same as Thassarian was to the Alliance(well kinda), she didn't have that right to capture him after the battle to 'punish' him for his insurrection; that should have been handled by the Blade higher ups, same as it would be if someone from the Earthen Ring, Cenarion Circle, Argent Crusade etc etc etc went against orders they were given by a Horde/Alliance commander.

Andorhal have them mention they are ex-ebons and team blue/red. Maybe retcon, maybe left the Knights when lick king died and rejoined.
Point is. She had rights to punish him, maybe not lock him up in a plot hole and forget about it. But force him to read art of war or something and grunt work/latrine

Nope. He was on loan. If she was unsatisfied with his performance, she should have fired him, and simply not use the services of the Ebon Blade again. He was not hers to punish.
Also, at no point have they EVER mentioned that they're Ex-Ebon. You never leave the Ebon Blade. Its not like a club where you can rescind your membership when you don't like the decoration. Being a death knight is an eternal condition. If forsaken are damned, Death Knights are twice damned. All Death Knights are afflicted by the Eternal Hunger, and must sate that hunger by killing. In order to cling to what little humanity they have left, they offered their services to the horde and alliance so that most if not all of their killing is done on a battlefield. But death knights can't just quit their soldiering and go tend a farm or something like that.(##RESPBREAK##)520##DELIM##Rankkor##DELIM##

He does say that, but it could be because you know, they are fighting for the factions in that fight. Thassarian is there because he feels horrible for what he did in Andorhol while under the control of the Lich King and the Scourge so he's trying to make up for it by winning the town back for the Alliance...but he's still a high ranking member of the Blade. They are ambassador's to the factions, but not actual members of them. You saw that in the Death Knight manga when Thassarian goes to Stormwind....Though really, is any of this spoiler territory anymore since the original events happened 3 expansions before? The only spoiler is the Legion thing, but any other discussion about what happened in Andorhol is known.

Correct, they are fighting for the factions in that fight. And they mention Killing eachother. Strange if they are on the same faction.
"I'm done wasting my time fighting for useless plots of land. If I am to suffer this curse of undeath, I may as well fight for a more worthwhile cause."
Seems to be Andorhal, as it's a fight about a plot of land.
I think that they are H/A, ambassadors like the PC was for one quest, but untill arthas demise. After that they joined team blue/red.
And I keep the spoiler tags for continuity, the topic is about something legion. It would be out of place for me if a single post was without spoiler tags whilst the rest isn't.

Not that strange if they are filling in roles a la mercenary; but as seen, they are not tied to one faction or the other...and even if they were: It's not the place of a Forsaken to punish a Blood Elf, so if any one would be taking Koltira to task, it should have been Lor'themar.

As a death knight he is undead, just about as undead as sylvanas. And is tagged undercity, not silvermoon. Granted might just be gameplay rep system there.

My best guess is that Thassarian says that line to Koltira in Andorhal simply because while they're both Ebon Blade, in that battle, they're field commanders on opposite sides of a battle, and should act accordingly. But from the lore perspective, Death Knights all belong to the ebon blade.
Even on the introductory letter that Tirion writes to the High King and the Warchief, he says that he's not asking them to accept death knights among their numbers, just that they're allowed to work alongside them.

But even as commander of a army, you have responsibility. Just saying "Ebon blade" doesn't give you some immunity. Though I have no evidence saying that they still are ebon blade at that time. As the ebons purpose was to kill the lich king.
