Hi,
Not sure I understand quite how the BoA items bought with Justice Points from heirloom vendors work. I've just bought
Robe de Brume-funeste rapiécée
for my low level Warlock as an aid to levelling and I see the stats on the item give just a slight increase. Does this scale up as he levels? and if so how long should I expect to be using it before I find a better option? Is it likely to be trumped once I start finding greens? or blues?
Cheers
edit - fixed link

The link you provided doesn't show exactly what you bought, but to answer your question: YES! It does scale when you level up. Any BOA gear will do that :)
Edit: Once you get at 80, the gear starts becoming moot and you'll end up replacing it with dungeon blues and quest greens.

To see the scaling as you look at the item, in this case i believe
Robe de Brume-funeste rapiécée
, when you look at the box on the upper left of the page you can change the characters level on the line that says"Requires level 1 to 80 (80)" by clicking the (80). The stats for that level will be displayed.

If your leveling the toon and not twinking then the most important stat on all that gear is the xp gain. Whether its heirloom, guild perk, or dropped gear it definitely pays to wear it as long as you can.
Heirloom takes you up to 80
Guild perk gear will take you to 85
Both of which will give you a xp bonus so wear them as long as you can!

Hi, the item is Tattered Dreadmist Robe, but I cant seem to get a nice floaty tooltip to appear (what goes in the item ID box? Just the number or more of the URL?).
I figured that was the best best for leveling a Warlock. Are there any other items I can get to him to give him headstart?

Robe de Brume-funeste rapiécée
would be the proper way to link to
Robe de Brume-funeste rapiécée
:)

Cheers for the help re items (and syntax!).
I haven't even considered Guild Vendors. My guild is lvl 19 so I don't know if I qualify or not. I'll check it out. Would you say that in general these items are worth the JP cost for kitting out a leveling alt? My alt is a lowbie Warlock and although I'd like to make good progress, my main intention is to see and play the game rather than to power my way through.
Anyway, cheers again.
Edit - aha, I see - Guild Vendor items have guild achievement pre-requisites.

Any heirloom gear that gives EXP bonus should be used until it´s max level. ( 80 or 85)
There is a slight difference with gear that doesn´t give EXP bonus. When you get ready to start new expansion content, there is gear available that has lvl requirements lower than the actual expansion (wotlk has gear that can be used at lvl 68 even though the expansion starts at 70), This gear has much higher ilvl than the older content.. The problem with heirlooms is they give stats based on the older content.
If you are a melee class, it is worth it to check the AH when you are 58, 68 and 78 to see if there are cheap, high ilvl weapons available. They are substantially better than your heirlooms for those 2-3 levels before a new expansion.
