Looking forward to see the fight on warcraftmovies :)
And it would have been nice to see the quest rewards from the quest thingy Algalon dropped, but I checked ensidia's homepage but no, they only posted pictures of a dr00d completing the Q, and not the rewards =(
Still a very amazing achievement though :)

i dont see why people think its a big deal ensida got that. i mean they got like all of the game firsts in everquest and in wow and i think there paid by a company or something. (i could be totally wrong about that though.

Paid or not, they still own just about every world first which is commendable.
And they are most likely sponsored, which is a bit different. I just want to know how much play time is expected/required to be a member.

They aren't paid by anyone, they've said as much many times.

They may not receive a check in the mail every month from some company, but they are sponsored. They have top of the line computers which they receive for free etc. How exactly that works out, I'm not entirely sure, as what would stop Kungen from inviting friends to receive free stuff? They
do
have several corporate sponsors including Intel and I think Dell (At least Nihillium or w/e they were called at the time did).

If it's so easy and pointless, why don't you do it?
I will, eventually. But I have a life outside of the game, thus I don't spend all day sitting in front of a video game. In fact at some point I will probably join a mindless PuG, with people in greens/blues and we'll still wtfpwn this boss. WoW is srs bzns.
Why do people care about sports, then? It's "just a game".
Sports are a real competition with a real challenge. It takes years of training, practice and dedication to be "good"...
Pfft, climbing Everest? It's just a mountain.
Yeah and no GY to spawn at when you fail this REAL challenge...
Because people doing challenging things generally will be praised by other people who know the difficulty of those things.
Because scripted events, that will always behave exactly how they are told to every time is difficult. Give a monkey enough time it'll produce Shakespeare.
Because a trip to Mars and a cure for cancer are directly comparable to WoW.
Because comparing Mount Everest is?
WoW is a game. It will ALWAYS be a game. The achievements earned in the game are superficial. There is no achievement for "Still lives in parents basement playing video games"... yet.
1. lol at a PuG EVER doing Algalon
2. How many years has it taken you to get "good" at WoW I doubt you're in the top 1% of your class
3. Who says we'll fail?
4. Scripted events which no-one knew about. Did you know what they did to down him?
5. HOLY STEREOTYPING BATMAN

While not neccesarily the same, it's similar with WoW. These guys take the time and effort to learn everything they can about this previously unknown encounter, and then work hard to beat it. Just like the professional athletes who take the time and effort to train will always be better than the scrubs, the raiders who take the time and effort to learn and plan the encounter will do it better and faster.
Sure, sports are 'real' competition, and it does take years of practice and work to be good... but it's still just a game. LOL @ athletes spending years of hard work on a game! What noobs.
