I had a similar issue with a HP laptop I had at one point. I'd be playing WoW, and then after a while the sound would freak out, and then I'd have no more sound in anything, and strange random issues with everything else, until I rebooted. Issue occurred after they replaced my mainboard, and I suspect was due to the chipset overheating due to a fault. If your mainboard's chipset is overheating (which would screw up all the hardware connecting to it) you can possibly check with a utility that reads your motherboards temperature. Odds are if that's the case you can get rid of the issue by improving airflow in the case, or worst case scenario, replacing the motherboard.
It seems the overall consensus i that something is overheating. Good luck.

Nvidia Drivers are at fault!
Here you go! Problem Solved! (for me any way)
I had 'error 132' for about 1 month.
Thinking back, I updated alot of the drivers for my computer. Namely the Nvidia Geforce Drivers (mine is a 7800GS - AGP)
Thats when I got the 'error 132' - Damn those latest Geforce drivers!
So, if you have a geforce, then downgrade to driver 93.71 (they are older drivers, but still work)
I repeat...
Drivers 93.71
93.71_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql.exe
Enjoy!

132 error WoW
This error exist because your DDR memory is instable.
Most reason is your bios setting is wrong.
The voltage setting mostly sets as AUTO
It's very important you set it to exact voltage
Example: ddr2 6400 setting 1.8 volt
If you change that setting your problem is solved.
I play now WoW no problems anymore

Do you know what Temp 1 is in Speedfan? If it is your CPU, then that is way too hot. Try these 2 programs for a stress test: Coretemp to monitor only your CPU temp, and Orthos to run a stress test on your CPU and RAM. If you see the temp in Coretemp go over 75C, then I would suggest at the least reseating your heatsink, but it would be recommended to get a new one.
Also, if you can, do as fyre said and check the voltage of your RAM in the BIOS and set it to exactly what it's rated for, not as AUTO. However, if it's a manufacturer PC (Dell, HP, etc.) then you probably won't be able to change it.

i've had a similar problem for the past few days but i solved it saturday : my video card a GF x800 was overheating and my wow and computer crashed every time
after browsing the net i found "atitool" a software to monitor and modify the temp and fan speed. my video card fan was at around 60% speed all the time.
after i forced it to work at 100% speed all the time, my problem was solved, no more wow and pc crashes
you should try it
