GARROSH. KIDNAPPING. CHILDREN.And he's not proud of it; the captain of the ship that brings the Magnataurs to Kalimdor admits that Garrosh went against his honour to do it.
Edit: Maiev is still the true villain of the book though....and she'll be back at some point to keep on trying her genocide.

That's the thing; we don't see them capture the young ones. First we learn of them is when the Bull Magnataurs reach Bilgewater Harbor, and they say you hear the voices of the young ones there, which means the adults will 'honour' their bargain with Garrosh and fight for him.
And they tried to let Darnassus know; but the Horde was prepared for it. They finally get a nearly dead messenger there when a Druid who was off on his own finds her.

Even with the honor though, the horde still got whacked with the villain bat in the novel. Not really; again, it's War. The only 'evil' thing is holding the Magnataur young hostage; other then that, everything they do is just good war tactics. And really, Knaak doesn't even describe many of the orcs as ugly like he used to; brutal looking sure but since they are warriors, that makes sense.

The Horde want Ashenvale for Lumber and Ore; Garrosh said that earlier in the book....and you know, said often enough in game. Hell, even the Night Elves admit that's the main reason why the Horde is attacking, because they need the stuff; it's how they are doing it that peeves them off: The Shredders and the like.
Yes, Garrosh still thinks all of Azeroth should belong to the Horde, but he also thinks the Alliance is weak and the Horde is strong, which is why they should be ruling it. But again, other then the young thing, there isn't any other evil: No depictions of civilians or children being attacked, and any time they've found a wounded elf, the Orcs admit they fought with honour and do the next honourable thing and give them a good death.
Edit: And the Alliance is depicted as a group of peoples who can't get along without fighting; the Night Elves are defending their home, but it's not 'heroic'; it's siege tactics till the reinforcements show up, then it's the standard when the Priestesses of Elune are around.
There is only one villain, and that is the ape $%^& insane Maiev; everything else is just a war novel.

That alone is a pretty evil goal and a pretty evil reason to do so. I mean, someone being weaker than you isn't justification to remove them from existance or try to dominate them.Typically in fiction the people who want to rule the world for similiar reasons are depicted as evil.
I'm just saiyan.
......You do realize, that's exactly how Varian, Genn, the Dwarves and most of the Night Elves see it as well right? That the Alliance should exist and the Horde shouldn't......And I'm saying you don't understand the villain bat if you think the Horde got hit with it in this book, since again, if they had been, there would have been more non-combatant deaths.

When has varian, genn, the dwarves, etc said that they want to rule the world and destroy everyone who tries to stop them? You have to admit dude that this novel depicted the horde in a darker light and the alliance in a lighter one.
Again, not really; both groups are gray in this.
