I'm Atheist and I wont go into my reasons because I might offend some people. Also Atheism A non-profit organization. XD
Look at the last page. We don't care what your reasons are (some might be offended. Ignore them.)
I genuinely want to hear why.

At least we're using modern knowledge, instead of 2000 year old nomad knowledge.
And our knowledge is better... how?
Just because the knowledge was 2,000 years ago that means it's wrong? If you sticky our hand in the fire it hurts still, like it did 2,00 years ago.
And in about... oh let's say
2,000
years our knowledge now will be looked on as superstition. It's human nature.

I'm sorry, but I cannot argue this any longer today. I'm angry enough that my hands are shaking, and I feel about 10 degrees hotter. Even if I were to get you all to behave and think according to reason rather than superstition, that's only a drop in the bucket of the Religious Problem.
The thing is people constantly use modern knowledge to prove God doesn't exist, but at the same time our modern knowledge is flawed. He don't know everything and are constantly learning new things.
Thus, its like a level 30 trying to beat a level ? boss because he thinks he is the highest level. At least we're using modern knowledge, instead of 2000 year old nomad knowledge.
And that's my final word on the subject. Not going to be returning to this thread today, or I will end up with ulcers. You people only remind me of how our world is drowning in superstition.
Why do you let other people's beliefs anger you so much?

Let's make something clear, yes? An all powerful being is a being capable of doing, in every way,
EVERYTHING
.
God CAN do a person with free will but without free will according to christians regardless if he wishes so.
Read the quotes. The Christians say the exact opposite. It's the people that don't understand, but they hear God and say "Oh he is God, that means he can do anything he freakin' wants!"
Nope. Only things that are possible he can do.

I saw this argument coming, and the logical paradoxes that would ensue. That's why I answered like this:If God is truly all powerful, could he not create a universe in which absolute paradise for everyone and freewill can coexist?
I feel it is a legitimate question. The answer, I feel, is "I don't know".
You see. I don't need to have all the answers. That is a big problem with people who profess to be Christian. They feel they need to defend Christianity to such an extent as to fill in the blanks. Just leave them blank.

And yet I come back to what all powerful means. It means being able to everything, including the impossible. God does that in many cases, accepting he exists. He makes matter out of nowhere for example, thing impossible.
If Christians define all-powerful as a being that can do hard stuff, but not impossible stuff, it's they and not me that should re/read what the term means
Perhaps making matter out of nothing is not impossible, but just not possible according to our limited human understanding. Perhaps God did something very possible. Perhaps the answer to the question is that nothing is impossible, or that there are some things that are out of the realm of 'power' and thus 'all powerful' doesn't extend to them.
I think the correct answer is, again, "I don't know". I don't think anyone does.

Well, some actually believe there was matter before.
But I agree with MyTie. There are many things we don't know about God yet,
just as there are many things we don't know about science yet.

So what you suggest is to stop looking for answers?
Well, it's a POV, a POV I hope I never adapt
I didn't say that at all. I'm just saying that if we don't have the answers, we shouldn't make up answers. We should be careful to make sure we either give the correct answer, which we can't always know, or admit that we don't know. It's easy to say "I don't know", and it is usually more correct than what you think is correct.

No, because you're speaking gibberish. What you're saying has no meaning. In order to have
free will
, you need
free will
.
this is the logical part, yes. But god is all powerful, he isn't restrained by logic. The same way he is 3 but 1 he can make people with free will but without free will.
The thing is though God
is
restrained by logic. He created the laws of the universe (so most think). Thus he can't break them, or he wouldn't be God anymore.
