I think its kinda stupid to have such gear scaling for MM being much better than Surv and that to have MM at max potential this trinket is necessary it seems :S
It's not that it's necessary, it's that the other, better, ArP trinket is that much harder to get.
Actually, the max potential gear for MM doesn't use these trinkets since it gets 100% static ArP.

Source or links to gear? Haven't had a chance to really look through the new gear changes, but 100% static ArP sounds, interesting?

Here you go
8)
Lol! Have already read through what I could find, and I still have yet to find anything that says 100% ArP can be reached with gear alone and no trinks

Research it on EJ, that's what I did.
No one other than a few individuals would choose to wade through the blither posted daily by the moronic masses that compose the EJ forums. If you have relative information to this thread then post it! (I really dislike EJ.)
Helm:
Coif of the Brooding Dragon
Shoulders:
Epaulets of the Devourer
Neck:
Seed of Budding Carnage
Cloak:
Drape of the Faceless General
Chest:
Crusader's Dragonscale Breastplate
Wrists:
Bracers of the Silent Massacre
Hands:
Gloves of the Dark Exile
Leggings:
Windrunner's Legguards of Triumph
Feet:
Greaves of Ruthless Judgement
Ring 1:
Dextrous Brightstone Ring
Ring 2:
Titanium Impact Band
Trinket 1:
Banner of Victory
Trinket 2:
Blood of the Old God
Battle Elixir:
Elixir of Armor Piercing
Food:
Hearty Rhino
Not including gems, I'm up to 958 ArPen, with 13 slots open there's a potential for another 260 which would bring the number up to 1218, and a hit rating of 193, using
7/57/7
you would also be hit capped. This was all created in less than 5 minutes, so I'm sure there's potential for more. With the Harp Cap being 1231, it's evident we can see a static cap on this.
Edit: Addition is hard, will fix after Entourage.

If what that guy posted on EJ is true; then depending on the proc rate on LnL (if it's around 15%) SV could indeed be better theoretically.
If by "better" you mean raise the threshold where MM surpasses it then yes.

Shandara's new spreadsheet includes an option to adjust the LnL proc rate up to 6.5% per point in LnL (outside the gcd) to reflect the new numbers.
Using that new proc rate, I get a DPS increase of about 140 or roughly 1.8%, and still behind my MM spec by about 150.
