1. I like Draenei out of game. They have great lore in things like Unbroken, but their grating voices and stupid animations (specifically the male dance *shudder*) are just too much to bear.
2. Alot of people don't like them because of the retconnery that was involved in their introduction. Not to mention that they're space aliens that landed in a spaceship. It just doesn't fit very well with the Sword and Sorcery theme.

Actually, it was orcs
Oh really?
With the Broken Farseer Nobundo, first of the draenei shaman, at his side, the Prophet personally led a raid on Tempest Keep to wrest control of one of its satellite structures, The Exodar. The battle was so close that the enemy was able to board The Exodar before it could leave Outland. The fighting continued onboard as the ship travelled in space.
The blood elves, discovering what the draenei were planning
, sabotaged the dimensional engines of the vessel. When the draenei activated it, the engine malfunctioned and sent The Exodar hurtling out of control through the Twisting Nether until it reached the closest habitable planet, Azeroth. The crippled ship screamed across the skies of Northern Kalimdor, crystals flying everywhere, until it crash-landed on a small island chain off the coast of Darkshore. The survivors took the islands as their new homeland, and set up their new capital in the largest intact portion of the still-smoking ship.

WE LAUGH IN THE FACE OF LORE
This always bothered me. Just because no one had heard of them doesn't mean they can't just pop up. I think Blizzard slipped in Draenei with the Eredar quite well tbh. I like the whole Dranei story, really. It works into the existing story pretty well.
People also seem to look at Azuremyst and Bloodmyst with the same "WELL THEY WERENT THERE BEFORE SO THEY SUCK" kind of attitude. When was the last time, Pre-BC, you were swimming around in that area? There's probably tons of islands like those; they aren't marked on the map because they server absolutely no purpose, minus a few boomkin and a Night Elf fisherman.

Draenei to me will always be the Broken Ones. Not the Eredar they are now. Also they didn't fit into anything.

I hate them because they have a stupid dance, as well as their various sounds, their strange legs, and of course, their tentacle bearing jaws. They also believe that the Naaru are coming to save them, but this is becoming increasingly unlikely due to the fact that it has been two years now since the release fo the Burning Crusade expansion, so I doubt that they are coming. What the deuce?
To which I respond:
The Naaru are in fact already in game. Have you not visited Shattrath? The Naaru help the Draenei on many different occasions, so the Draenei are right to have faith in them.
Isn't it nice when people attempt to show a little higher intelligence in their post, rather than spouting a discordant stream of ill-concieved babble?

Welcome to any WoW-based online-forum. It's sad, yes, but it's true.
