haste can reduce the GCD but theres a cap on how much (someone else will have to comment on that part)

Haste doesn't affect melee GCD, it's always 1.5 seconds. Rogues, Kitty Druids, and Unholy DKs have a 1 second GCD.

Casters have a 1.5 second GCD that IS affected by Haste and can be reduced to 1 second. You would need 50% haste in order to do this, which is 1640 haste rating.

For a warrior, haste will only affect the speed at which you perform your normal melee "white" attacks. I suppose it would also decrease the time it takes to perform a Slam for arms, as well.

If it has haste there's a big change you wanne stay away from it.

I personaly give haste 0 vallue on my gear.
