So I decided to roll an orc warlock, simply because they look AWESOME in end-game gear!
Who doesn't like a big buff green shortie with huge shoulders?
As soon as I roll a lock, I started to regret it. After what, 4-5 Shadow Bolts, I started to go OOM.
I killed 1 boar and all my mana was gone. This really discouraged me to continue on with my lock.
Now what i'm wondering is, how did you all get past this 20-mana per shot madness?

as WTC says, wands are really good for low level locks and (if you get frequent upgrades) they stay good right up to level ~30.
serraphyn, ellipsis isn't the only punctuation.

If you have a 80 toon I would get some of the BOA stuff it helps so much. The 65 bagde staff is better then the WG staff, I like the WG shoulders, they have crit but no stats but the 40 bagde shoulders are better in the long run thou. And the trinket the gives you SP and 2% base mana back when you kill something is really good.

If you picked an orc (which you did) your gonna have fun on the voidwalker quest :) (NOT)
pick undead their voidwalker quest is a lot easier.

QFT. Orc VW quest is STUPIDLY difficult for its level... Not to mention the level 14 rare that spawns right next to the quest item every hour or so.

So you are choosing race not because of look, stats or racials, but because of level10 quest? That someone else might help you? Or you just could go to another city pick up the other one?
/facepalm

To Zeronthe.
Well, I thought that making some space between different ideas or making some space when in a speech I would make a pause to stress something, makes reading much much easier than relying on grammar punctuation rules.
This is indeed a place, in my opinion, where ideas and the way how you try to write them down in order to make the transfer to other people, who are looking to get some clear, coincise, usefull, easy to read and understandable information, are more important than making a grammaticaly correct post which just resembles a wall of text.
Thank you.
By the way, your comment did not help the guy who started this post in any way or am I wrong?
...bah
fixed
i love how easy to kill wall of text with space bar! (yeah that kind of bar in space that the bartender have 12 eye's and serve a beer with another eye that look at you)
to Serraphyn
because its annoying to use it and look's weird then just use space and look better

I just hit 20 with my warlock and it was pretty easy.
Just let your Imp/Voidwalker pull aggro, use Curse of Agony, Corruption, and Immolation, and throw a Shadow Bolt or two if you really want to.
When you get Drain Life and Life Tap and a few points into each related Improvement talent, you can basically pull mobs endlessly. Its not Pew, Pew, but so what if it takes 10 seconds to kill something rather then 8?
Getting a wand will help you conserve mana as well. If you get Glyph of Corruption, then you really only throw Shadow Bolts when the Glyph procs.
I've been following Kappajoe's guide from the stickies pretty closely. Once you get your rotation and your strategy down, you basically chain kill stuff without being touched.
