Character:
Varyn Brighthammer, Mordecai
Location:
Barrens, Ratchet
Varyn's mouth tightened a little at a memory he really shouldn't be conjuring, that of a long brilliant sword that shone with a light that was not altogether its own. He wondered if he should reach out and give her a comforting pat on the hand, but wondered if that wold be uncouth. By the same extension, he didn't much know what to say to her either, but knew something needed to be said.
"I...um..." He slowly sat upright. "If you want we could...uh...get you a new one?" It sounding like a question had not been his intent, but when he spoke that was exactly what came out much to his chagrin.

Vrak

Vrak grimaced and turned to the band, "Is every one alright?" he himself was the most wounded, burns scaring his face and hands, but he asked about the others anyway. Seeing that no one was hurt, he called, "Thas probably just the first of the attacks, if anyone does not wish to stay, they can leave for the Crossroads or Splintertree Outpost. The rest of us, we are heading for Zoram'gar Strand."

The ranger dodged and escaped away from the proto-drak, as she has no love for it. She stood at the edge of the mile long circle of black cooled magma.

The Barrens
Theresa took her eyes off the sky and glared at the orc. The unoriginal thing to say would be something akin to "you know nothing of how I feel," but silence sufficed.
Varyn's question-suggestion could certainly have been expected from anyone, but it came so suddenly that the notion of replacing the lost firearm sounded...wrong. You don't just go buy a new hound when your old one dies, do you? But still, she needed something more than the rapier if things were going at the same pace as they had up until now...
Once again, the conflicting emotions emerged as indifference in the veteran's response, and she shrugged. "That'd be great," came the answer without any intonation towards positivity or disagreement.
At the very moment, just lying on the back in the sand sufficed.

Varyn smiled brightly, though likely it was more to do with the fact she did not snap at him for the suggestion. Strange as it may be to say, the idea of getting Theresa a weapon suddenly became a fixed idea in his mind, something he would think of whenever he looked at her. It was something he could do for her that required no immediate dissection of everything she said, something concrete to relate back to her and do to help.
Mordecai rolled his head over to the elf lazily, eyes addressing her in silent patience for what she would say next.

The Barrens
Again oblivious to the young man's immediate feelings, Theresa tiredly turned her head to look at the elf. What she said actually made some sense; the veteran immediately knew who
her
suspicions were aimed at.
Getting a new firearm suddenly felt like a means to an end rather than a mission in itself, and despite the grim outcome of that end she brightened considerably, even if not visibly.

"Before we got to the crossroads Bog warned me that Vrak would rain infernals to assassinate us. Vrak sems shady with all his gold." She started to explain to the knight of death. "But that is not all, Bogs self fullfiling prophecy is questionable alone, but his so called experiance with demons. Not to mention his power displayed against the infernals, inhuman power in magic and strength." She added. "And the Doomguard did confirm the theory of a traitor in our midst...." She said.
Then the ranger pressed her palm into the earth and communded with the nature and roots erupted around the earth and tried to entangle Bog. "And here is the answer of my theory. This man, Bog is a spy." She said in triumf.

Mordecai turned to look at the man silently, neither condemnation or threat in his stance. Still, the fact that he was as tall as most tauren and wielded a runeblade the size of most men did little to diminish his overall menace.
In turn, Varyn forced himself to his feet at this new revelation. He would have much rather stayed lying down for a time, but the sudden accusation convinced him it was no time to rest.

Bog glanced at the plants and earth trying to grab him, but he did nothing about it, "You attack me without proof or conviction ranger. And you lie blatantly to me about my supposed entanglement with an orc that I have never seen until we started this journey. I am a mage; but I kept it quiet as I knew that there were Legion spies around us, as demonstrated by the goblin who tried to assassinate you..."
Bog sighed at Ilthadris, seemingly shocked by her audacity, "And if I was a servant of the Legion...why would the Legion be trying to kill me?"

"You still havent explained the inhuman strength. And why bother hiding that you are a mage? And the demon said that there is a demon in our midst. As for demons killing demons, that is hardly news, especialy if you are as experianced with demons as you claim, but that experiance would rather come from the service of the legion. But perhaps those demons where to kill us, but you didn't want to expose yourself as the villian. So you battled with us until all of us had died, but you got carried away in the fight." She said with narrowed eyes.
"Frankly i wonder why i let you spew out more lies." She said before pulling out her bow and a arrow and then quickly aimed to the forehead of Bog.

Lotti, you will not get involved unless they demand that you do. I will take care of this without them suspecting you.
