v Describe the use of derivatives of salicylic acid as mild analgesics and compare the advantages and disadvantages of using aspirin and paracetamol (acetaminophen.)

Hyperspacerebel
^ Derivatives of salicylic acid (i.e. aspirin) act as mild analgesics by reducing inflammation. Like all medications, they can interfere with other drugs in your regiment. Aspirin is also known to cause irritation to the stomach lining. They are generally, though, the safest pain relievers if taken as directed.
