I come to you bc i have no answer from Blizzard's forum so.... maybe i can find one here?
I have a lot of problem concerning Chromie's crappy timeline. I always mess up my character and can't use them the way i want.
In that case, i used the lvl 60 boost on a new character (it's sésame in french idk what's the word in english) weeks ago, yesterday i started playing Shadowland with it 'cause i want to do it before Dragonflight. The thing is, i wanted to do dungeon and i saw i was on BFA timeline?? When i do questing, i get 12 exp for one quest, nothing from killing mobs. Since the mob are somewhat my level (~50) i didn't saw it sooner (scaling y'know), but now i'm fucking pissed.
I just want to do Shadowland and i really don't get why a lvl 60 should do BFA.
It's not my first problem with Chromie's stuff. I may get that i need to go up to 70 but every one of my alt character can change their timeline except this one so it makes no sense. I tried everything and can't get it change.
The last time i wanted some assistance i tried to do a ticket, i had 40 days of waiting so no way i'm waiting this long.

With phase 2 of prepatch BfA has been expanded to 60 and is still the main timeline for leveling. Shadowlands have been put to Chromie Time. The reason why you can't activate Chromie Time on your level 60 character is because it doesn't work on level 60, it works only on characters below 60.
So the reason you are getting little XP is because you are doing leveling content that was designed for getting from 50 to 60. You won't get lots of XP for doing Shadowlands at that level. Dragonflight is the only intended way to level from 60 onwards. If you realy want to do the story you can keep doing Shdowlands if you want to level up move on to Dragonflight.
So everything is working as intented, you just misunderstood how Chromie Time works.

this is not completely correct.
Truth is that the timeline's campaign doesn't start (I tested Shadowlands and Legion), BUT the mobs, quests, ores and stuff are adapted to your level and permit levelling.
For instance, being level 62, I entered Timeline Legion and I get 2000 xp/ore, 17k xp per quest etc which seems normal. And I get stuff around ilvl 350.
