[Suggestion] Drop rates ordered by patch
Return to board index
So I was thinking that, since we never know when blizzard "tunes" the drop rate (like the green proto drake, and some say on white polar bear too), have you considered adding the possibility to add 2 entries for drop rates: 1 for the drop rate on the actual patch, and another one for the previous patch. At this way, we could know if it has changed, and if there isnt enough data to know the actual drop rate, we could always see the previous drop rate.
My real motivation on making this suggestion is the fact that, we dont know if mimiron's head and invincible's drop rate will change. Most ppl tend to be pessimist, as they were on the actual patch 4.0.6, and say:"Yeah, it will be nearly impossible" or "Its 1%, period." and things like that, while the stats on wowhead say otherwise.
A new patch is coming soon and im afraid I wont be seeing mimiron's head (which is the one I really want) dropping soon if they change it, and it would be nice to track the stats to see if things changed or kept as they were.
So tell me what you think about this suggestion.
Considering that you can do those instances once a week, if the drop rate was 1% and you were to do the instance every reset and you were neither lucky nor unlucky you would get the item dropping every approximately 2 years..
In any case, we reset
data when cataclysm came out.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Koper##DELIM##
I saw it dropping once and Im afraid that drop rate changes on patch 4.1. According to your stats, the drop rate its 20% (i presume that includes with and without keepers, but still), if it drops lower, i might have to do that s***ty place for "a life time". 2 years, 1 year or half year is too much time for something thats suppose to be funny. It will get boring and stressful doing it over and over again.
I rather do this as harder as it was and knowing i would get it. Or at least at this dificulty with this drop rate. But anyway, you dont have the power to change that.
I just would like to have more accurate data to judge the odds...
But doing or not, its up to you.
