Never jump. It creates an unnecessary delay due to landing before you can recast your next spell. Personally I bind /stopcasting to my 5th mouse button (along the thumb groove), that way I can use it with any spell. Very effective to fake out a kick or pummel when fighting rogues or warriors. Also be careful with binding it directly to a heal, as you can very easily cancel a heal that is just about to finish if you're spamming to keep a target alive.
