New Nvidia drivers fix the jagged shadows
! ...not like the new shadows look great though, there does not seem to be any sort of blurring around the edges, and shadows generally tend to be blurred, depending on the position of the light source, the object that casts the shadow, and the surface the shadow is projected on, but oh well, it is definitely better than what we have now.

Search, download and install them:
For nVidia
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
For Ati
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
Neither of those have that type of laptop I'm using.
At least, I didn't see any Dell Inspiron under the system types.

You're not looking for your system, just the graphics card you're using. Both of them have an auto-detect feature that will search it and figure it out for you.

Alright....
Knowing my luck, this won't make a lick of difference though...

Alright, what you can do now is go to Start > Run > Dxdiag or just search it up if your OS allows.
After you run that, it'll show you your specs. Click the Display tab and post the name it shows you.

Hope that helps!

No this is a problem with NVIDIA. They don't make drivers that work on cards after manufacturers put them in their computers. It's a problem I've had. You have to get the drivers from your computer manufacturer (Dell, in your case). For your sake, I hope Dell are better about it than Sony. Sony doesn't have updated drivers on their site so I'm stuck with drivers from '08.
Back on topic: Being a vampire is half as useful and ten times more annoying than it was in Oblivion. Time to start over!

I don't see how it can be more annoying than in oblivion, since now the sun doesn't kill you (granted it does weaken you considerably)
Also, you dont have to start over, there's 2 ways to cure vampirism.
A: Do a very small quest (talk to any bartender for rumors till he gives you one of a dude researching for the cure of vampirism, talk to that dude, he says he will need a filled black soul gem, and conviniently he sells you one, so fill that up with any random bandit, go back to him he tells you to meet him at a summoner circle near his village at 5 AM, do so and TA-DAH you are no longer a vampire)
B: Become a werewolf, as lycantropy will grant you 100% inmunity to diseases and will overwrite your vampirism making you a werewolf. As to how to become a werewolf, just do the companion quests.

Is there any negative side effects of being a werewolf?

Is there any negative side effects of being a werewolf?
negligible ones.
Pretty much the only disadvantage is that you no longer get any rest bonus to your skills.
Sleep on a bed you own and you gain an 8 hour buff that increases skill learning speed by 10%, 15% if you're married and your spouse is in the same building. Be a werewolf and that's gone for good.
Plus most of the bonuses you get as a werewolf are only usable when you transform.
And transforming can only be done once per day, you can't loot corpses or items while transformed, can't lockpick doors either, and can't use magic, maps, menu, and your health wont regent automatically while transformed.
However, while transformed you can devour fallen foes, which heals you, and extends the duration of the werewolf mode by 30 secs.
Duration of the transformation is 2 minutes and a half.
Plus you get a permanent 100% inmunity to diseases (which oddly stays even if you cure yourself of lycantrophy.
Advantages of being a werewolf is that during beast mode you are a 300 pound OP killing machine. You get 100 extra points of health, 50 more points of stamina, as well as increased stamina regeneration, your claws hit like a goddamn hammer, and you can use both, your sprint is faster, even more fast than a HORSE on full sprint which makes your beast form as a rapid way to travel the land....... and pressing Z will allow you to ROAR inflicting heavy fear on all foes near you.
As an added bonus, any crimes commited while as a werewolf will NOT be pinned on you, so you can safely transform on an isolated place, and then go on a rampage without having to deal with the repercutions. HOWEVER, it is VERY important that nobody sees you transforming or you get an instant 1000g bounty, and all crimes commited as a wolf WILL be pinned on you. Also you must not let anyone see you reverse back to human. As long as the transformation (from human to wolf, and wolf to human) happens in a place where nobody sees you, all is kosher.
Do be careful of WHEN you transform because the animation takes a few seconds and you CAN be killed during those moments of helplessness. That being said, after being transformed unless you are severely outnumbered, you are one bad-ass muthafuka.

Agreed. I am a werewolf, and don't notice it usually. However, when I find myself in the 'tab' menu, and I need an ace to get me out of a jam, I've said 'oh yeah, werewolf' a few times. This one time I was on a quest to infiltrate a party, and sneak onto a grounds, and this guy was going to smuggle gear in for me. I gave him my gear, but forgot to give him my sword. I found myself severely outnumbered without a weapon. I just werewolf-ed, killed a bunch of them, took one of their swords and went about my business. Werewolf form is kind of a pain, and not the 'best' resource, but it has gotten me out of a few jams. I find my orc berserk is much more versatile. On the other hand, I don't give a crap about resting bonus, so werewolf is the option for me.

yep, the resting bonus loss is a pretty negligible sideeffect of lycantrophy.
Vampirism however, while saddled with plenty of nice powers, and bonuses also comes with A LOT of side-effects that make the gameplay a real pain in the ass.
I'm hoping the next elder scroll is a little more balanced on that regard, by either making vampirism equally good as lycantrophy, or by saddling the latter with as many disadvantages as the former.
Because currently, there is really no reason at all to NOT get lycantrophy, the skill learning bonus can still be obtained by using the warrior/mage/thief guardian stone near the beggining of the game (These boost skill learning speed for only 6 skills each, as oposed to the universal bonus of resting, but hey, its something)

The lover stone boosts all skills.
Edit: I shutter at how that is going to be misquoted.

I did that last night just so I could get the daedra hearts, just so i could craft daedric armor, which is the best heavy armor.
PS... does anyone know if blacksmith potions stack effects? Like... can I swig 50 of them and get 7000% blacksmithing, and make some epic armor?

No potions don't stack.

No potions don't stack.
they do stack with enchantments.
So a 50% blacksmithing potion, with a 50% blacksmithing enchantment will stack, allowing you to forge stuff that even Hephaestus* would be jealous of.
(*) Greek god :P said to be the greatest smith ever, he forged all the armor worn by gods and some demi-gods as well as Zeus' lightingbolts.
