Skada vs. Recount: accuracy?

Just started using
Skada
yesterday, after using Recount the past year. I prefer Skada's interface and the way it can create other windows for Threat (replaced Omen too), Healing, etc.
However, on many fights there are significant differences in DPS reported by the two. Is Skada less accurate than Recount? Does its accuracy improve w/ more people in the raid using it?

I would imagine that the difference should not be significant. I think most of what might diverge is where one author went a bit further than the other tracking things like lifeblooms or prayer of mending for proper attribution to the original caster.

Thought it was impossible to track PoM? Did they add origin information to the combat log?

A lot of stuff that isn't actually represented in the combat log can be "derived" via inference using some sneaky observation and saving of this or that. Little differences where values aren't added exactly as they're parsed from the log can account for the variations is what I was saying.
