this is not quite true, the warlock has a very bad habit of healing themsleves at the expense of their targets health lol quite annoying i must say.lol
only in the right spec, and thats almost as painful to level as as a priest is.

this is going offtopic... :)
Since the 2 points are already well explained...
3. In the first levels you'll have a lot of difficulty in fighting more than 1 mob at a time so pull carefully, when you get more powerful spells and more mana pool it gets easier, with experience too
but even tough I'm quite experienced at priest lvling I found it really really hard to solo 2 mobs of my level until I was level 14 i guess....
If you happen to pull more than one mob at a time the general strategy is: you need to eliminate one asap, so smite spam ftw! when 1 of them die what to do with the other depends on your mana pool, if you're low on mana you might want to run... unless you have mana for 1 or 2 healing spells and a good wand
If happens to pull 3 mob at a time try to fear them, kill one while they're feared, spam other with whatever you want and then heal yourself and wand the other to death (unless you've enough mana to spam the third one too), this will only be attainable to 20+ i think (altough you get the AoE fear at lvl 14, you won't have a good mana pool to perform this task)...
If you pull more than 3 I guess you're kinda @#$%ed up (unless they're much lower lvl than you're) and to kill them all and/or survive you'll need to be kinda leet... the strategy is the same as the above but you've going to fear twice and you need to have flash heal or the castback will be just too big
NOTE: Never DoT 2 mobs at once, unless you feel confident, it just wastes mana since you want to kill one fast and the other you want to wand him to death... so save some mana instead of trying to kill them at the same time, always deal with one mob at a time

is NR really going to be that bad to quest in?
A) To start with (aka before you get both Dispersion and Meditation as shadow)
B) If you try and do shadow levelling with one mob at a time.

1) Harder then say a dk/ret pally/hunter yes. You will take longer then any other class 1-58.
2)Holy/disc: Holy fire/Smite spam wand if needed
Shadow: VT/Swp/Mind blast/Mind flay
3)If you level with a disc/holy spec 1-50/58 you will be able to pull multipe mobs at once while throwing a renew on for healing.
Shadow its a little differnt throw up a shield and dot all target then hit dispersion and shield again and target should be dead (Talking 3 or more targets if its just 2 dot them both up and follow rotation since your shield should hold with 2 mobs.)
I had mana problems from 60-72 had to use my dispersion and shadowfiend but still did't have to drink. After 73 i never used my shadowfiend for mana and only had to use dispersion ever 4-5 mins if i did non stop pulls.
Northrend has been the best zone so far with my spellpower up at 1300 unbuffed most mobs go down before they can even get to me. When you first get there it will be annoying since mobs are a levle higher and your gear is meh compared to northrend quest gear.

I found leveling to be quite easy as holy at 68 in Northrend. I would go pull about 5 enemies, drop a lightwell, SW: P each mob, Devouring Plague primary target, wand until primary dead, then Devouring Plague next, refresh Lightwell as needed, keep Inner Fire up, and PW: S if needed. Made the quests in Skorn a breeze and because I relied on dots, decent wand, and Light Well for healing I didn't tend to run low on mana. If I did run low though I'd sick my mana fiend on the person I would be saveing for last kill of the group. Shadow was still easier and quicker to take down one mob at a time but I found I missed holy when I'd have a small group on me because Light Well is so good at makeing a priest able to take alot of damage.
You, sir, are a genius.
I never thought of that.

I leveled Discipline through Northrend (this was long before dual-specs was available), and my favourite way to AOE mobs was to pull a bunch to me using SW:P, throw a shield on myself (as Disc these shields could take a lot of punishment) and spam Holy Nova. I would use Power Infusion on myself whenever possible and Shadowfiend every time I was low on mana and it was off cooldown.
Thank god I don't have to level as a heal-spec in Cataclysm though!
