Well, all you really need gear wise is intellect and stamina, the other stats don't come that often at all until outland and the only spell you really use is lightning bolt until you get the
shamanistic focus talent, then you start to use
Flame Shock until its about to run out and then you refresh it, but lightning bolt is the main use spell, until you get
Lava Burst, then your rotation will turn into this:
LB, FS, LvB rinse and repeat
This rotation works for average mob or elites and bosses, the only addition is when you are fighting those common trash mobs in a crowd, then you add in Chain Lightning now and then.
Elemental Shaman rocks.

I've just rolled a Elemental Shaman, well not just rolled he's level 22, but I'm having a hard time adapting to the play style of a caster class, I'm used to being up in your face with a Two-Handed Sword and bubbling/lay on hands when things get sticky.
I love the Elemental concept of "reach out and touch someone" as it's funny to hit people with a Lightning Bolt, Bind, Flame Shock, and then rinse and repeat (for the time being).
I'm just having a hard time gearing up properly and finding the right weapons, etc.
Oh, and the fact that Totems are fun to throw down haha.
I started a shammy not long ago, started as elem.....but switched over to enhancement about level 25. Since then, I have been leveling far faster. I have 3 other level 80 toons, along with a leatherworker, so gear isn't an issue. I did manage to get two of the
Venerable Mass of McGowan maces, with Windfury, it is HUGE. I regularly take on 2-4 targets at once when questing that are at my level to two levesl higher, and I can easily take on targets that are 5-6 levels higher and survive almost always. Being a Draeni helps. I am at level 49 currently, and doing a level or two per night playing casually.
And in BGs, I always top the DPS and damage charts. Being able to do that much damage AND heal yourself is priceless.
