A competent rogue can do insane dps on any melee friendly fights. Just because they don't bring buffs doesn't mean they aren't useful.

While it's not a buff,
Wound Poison VII
is helpful on a few encounters. No reason
not
to bring a good rogue or two, in my opinion.

Not to mention other small debuffs like
Expose Armor
and
Savage Combat
/
Master Poisoner
/
Hemorrhage
.
I mean, sure, not every rogue is going to pick or use these abilities, but they are there and do help a little.

Imo a good rogue is a great addition to any 10/25 man raid. Alot of people still don't know how awesome tricks of the trade is, also for some fights in ulduar you need interrupts, a task that rogues can handle very well... this coupled with insane dps for most fights makes me want to have one in my raid.
I think main reason you don't see many rogues is because alot of them rerolled DK, because that's the new cool bad boy class... but the rogues you still see are usually performing well in my experience.

I have thinking about putting together a 5-rogue instance group. Yeh, there's no healer or tank... but I think it the group used stealth and vanish cleverly, it could kick some serious butt.
What do you think—could 10 level-70 rogues take on Kara? could 10 level-80 rogues take on VoA?

As is anesthetic poison.
Actually, rogues were just shown to be invaluable for one of the (or
the
) hardest encounters currently in game: Yogg-Saron with no keepers.
Also let's not forget Tricks of the Trade. Only rogues and hunters can redirect threat, and rogues are probably the best at it on aoe fights.

When i've seen rogues in my raid groups they're always among the top 1-3 on the dps charts, so i see no reason not to bring them.

We typically run UL25 with three rogues and sometimes four. ToTT is constantly used during the fights and they have great interrupts.

A bit off-topic, but I still think FoK is the best acronym ever.

Blizz needs to implement a buff that rouges can pass on, kinda unfair that they only go in just to STAB STAB STAB! everyone except rouges gives something out to help others, in my opinion rouges are greedy,
A rouge's #1 rule!
