Rogues are much more simple to play, but a Hunter may be more "noob friendly" as they have pets to take the majority of the hits.
And yes, arrows cost money, but pretty much all classes have their monetary costs, and having a pet means you won't have as high repair bills as a Rogue, generally speaking.
In the community, both classes are well-known for being highly populated with incompetant people.
I personally suggest trying a Hunter, there's a bit of a larger margin for error. You could always try leveling both classes a bit and seeing what you like(Remember that Hunters don't get pets until level 10)

I would suggest not playing either. You will basically be stereotyped a noob a lot. Any class is pretty easy after you get to level 20 and you get used to the class.

btw, are human's ever good for a race? night elf seems so much better for rogue, but i will hate to have to learn a whole new place.... i wish i could be a night elf in human starting place...........
Personally, I feel that Humans and Dwarves are the only 2 tolerable alliance races.
In terms of mechanics and all, there isn't really a bad race. There are some differences for racials, which give a little bit of uniqueness(?) but do not make or break the character.

As Jidor said, rogue is a much easier class to play, but hunter is much more forgiving of mistakes. I'd say it's a toss-up as to which is more newbie-friendly. Just ask yourself if you'd prefer to be in the middle of the action or to take a more laid back approach. As for starting zones, you can still play a night elf and start in Elwynn. It'll take a few boat trips and a fair deal of corpse-hopping, but you'll get there eventually ;)

Sorry to threadjack :)
(OT: Jidor, where in SD? Oside here, 5 min from Pendleton.)
We're at the Naval base in Pt Loma right now, we live up in unincorporated Ramona however. We'll be returning home early early early tomorrow, as 67 opened up just 3 hours ago. We just got done putting everything except for the laptops and cats into the cars.

Heya, I'm new to WoW, I have a lvl 10 mage and a lvl 15 pally.
I'm wondering, which class would be easier for a newbie, not saying those two were too hard, a hunter or a rogue? In past games I've played archery = money drain for arrows...
I just want to know which one would be sorta an easy start :)
that depends on if you want to be a ninja who rolls on gear others need or if you want to be a lazy bum for not bothering to L2lockpick.
in other words, roll neither. level your mage. then ppl will
want
you in their groups.

Being a priest, you'll never have a problem finding groups 1->70.
Druids are useful, yeah.
