Resto Question About ToC 10 Man

The mins are just to give people a rough idea, they aren't absolute or anything. :o
Its kind of like a bunch of people discussing the difficulty of the fight. A lot of the difficulty depends on who they run with.
Exactly. I've 2-healed ToC10 with a Resto Druid, and the only time we really struggled at all was against the Faction Champs (but that's just because of the craziness that is aggro non-existance XD). If you've got a group that knows the fights and know when to move/change targets/etc., the healer's jobs are MUCH easier.
Of course, it also has to do with the raid composition too (balance your melee/ranged, otherwise you'll have a hell of a time there as well).

TotC10 is more of an idiot check than a gear check if anything.
People doing the right things means that even a group of three Naxx10 geared healers can let the group plough through it easily.
Eeehhhh...maybe not the Beasts, that's a mana efficiency check if I've ever seen one to be honest. The rest, I agree, but the length of that full gauntlet at the beginning does stretch your CDs pretty far.

If you are going with a good group that actually can avoid fires you can easily heal this in Naxx10/heroic gear. But if you're going with a pug I'd recommend having atleast Naxx25 gear. I think I could easily solo heal this instance with my current gear.
Here's my Armory for those interested :

TOC10 is fairly easy, provided you have a focused healing team. I'm just shooting from the hip, but as a healing lead I would ask for;
2400 SP (self buffed)
22k Mana
500 MP5
500 Haste
I stress these are the bare min I would look for while building a healing unit.
I have about these stats on my alt. Was enough for first two bosses in 10-heroic, with 2 healers. What you are asking for is way over the top for normal 10man, in 3 healer setting OP is implying. All you really need are people not overly fond of standing in fires, and the whole group, not only tanks+healers, in naxx+ gear and paying attention - it is the first instance I have had constant wipes in due to dps being terribad.

You know why you won't be able to solo it? 265 mana regen while not casting... Your mana pool will be drained in like 2 minutes.
The statement underlined is a bit "extreme": even if your group is good (good doesn't mean imba) there will be always a lot of healing required in totc and a naxx geared healer won't be able to handle it.
P.S.
As a side question: I see you cleared totc10, with 2 or 3 healers? If you did/do with 2 healers, do you have any mana problems? (mana problem, from my PoV, is also when you need to use mana pots or Mana Tide totem in a "normal" boss fight).
To start with, I'm glyphed with the Water Mastery glyph atm because I'm in need of the 30mp5 it gives me. With WS up I have 301 mp5, my trinket fully charged gives me 128 mp5 aswell, that means I have 429 mp5 while casting. So I won't be drained of mana in 2mins.
I've 2man healed this whilst keeping my mana above 70% through all encounters. And you're saying popping a mana tide totem indicates mana problems? WRONG I try popping mana tide early in the fight so I can make sure I can use it again in the end of the fight. Potting is something I rarely do in raids except 25man hard modes.
A naxx geared healer won't be able to solo heal this raid ofcourse but 2man healing this with a properly geared tank should be fine without too many problems.

take a look to my armory. I just heal any raid in the game and dont have any of the stats discussed. I think the stats depends of your play style and if you are raid heal, or tank heal.
For Tank heal u must have SP 2100+ (self bufed) and 21k+ mana. 550+mp5 cuz the first boss its a long fight.
For raid heal you must stack mp5. I have 800+ mp5 casting and have no problems to heal raid. 2k+ SP and 20k+mp5.
just my opinion.
(my armory its on my sig)
Mate, really now you should never stack pure mp5 gems, EVER, go with SP/mp5,Haste/mp5 gems if you need mp5. You have way too much mp5 but you'll never be able to heal any HM because of the lack of SP and Haste in your gear. All healers will outheal you because most healers have alot quicker and bigger heals than a shaman, and if you think ending a fight with 95% mana left is being a good healer, you are wrong.

yeah, my overheal its not huge but im ok with. I prefer be overhealed that OOM in a raid fight. With that much of mp5 i can spam CH and im almost never stay OOM.
as i said, its depends of your playstyle. theres not a built over there. You must find something that fits in your playstyle as i did xD.
But just for the record im testing that much of mp5.
I did exactly as you did when I started playing as resto on my shaman. I found that I was losing alot of my HPS by stacking mp5 and instead I started stacking SP/Int gems to which increased my healing output by alot more than I thought it would. And since of 3.2 (Tidal Waves change) stacking haste has become the best to do as a shaman(in 25mans). All this depends though if you are mostly playing in 10man environments or 25man environments. My gear is based of 25man environments where healing is stepped up alot more and quick heals are needed. However 10mans doesn't require that amount of haste that I have. Instead crit and Int would be better for 10man situations but still having a good amount of haste to keep on doing reasonable healing on AoE fights.
But having that low amount will limit your healing output greatly if you are the chain heal spamming type. Your chain heals cast time is around 2.4 seconds or something like that, am I right? Which are way too slow imo in both 10 and 25man environments.
