Also don't use Heroic Strike, if you do. Always use Slam.
But that's obvious I hope ;-)

If not use HS why spec for it? I feel that those 3 filler points make much more use in Deflection.
Dont use HS over 75 rage. Dont use HS ever. With 5s cd on MS and Slam, with Sudden Death procs there is no way you couldnt handle rage dump in more efficient way.
this is not correct. HS is still a rage dump for an arms warrior.
deflection is quite worthless in a raiding environment.

HS is still rage dump as arms but only if slam is not enough

I don't quite aggree. The 55 / 8 / 8 spec with improved HS in the arms tree and Imp. Bloodrage, Imp. TC and Incite in the protection tree has proven to be slightly better in raids. I'm using it and I'm happy with it. Slam is still the main rage dump, but I have rage for HS/cleave often enough to make the talent points spent worth it. Also there's usually two fury warriors and/or a paladin with imp BoM in my guild's raids which make me able to skip Commanding Presence myself.
Also this spec frees up one point for weapons mastery (or anger management if you need the rage).

Arms spec should NEVER be rage starved, I have the opposite problem. My arms warrior has too much rage and I acn do whatever I want with it.
Either way, Don't use HS. It sucks. It's a waste. Save your rage for more important things (Overpower, MS, SD Proc's which take alot of rage to make it worthwhile).

is unbriddled wrath that bad? in any case, i'll be removing that from my tree, but i will be keeping anger management. Or is that a big nono too?
Unbridled wrath sucks. Don't waste your talents in it. Get the shout talents instead. Over the course of a five minute fight, it generates maybe 50 rage or so. Which is nothing.
Another reason you could be rage starved is beause of your weapon. Swords. suck. Use a pole-arm or axe for arms spec just because of the great talent (5% crit, 5% critical strike damage increased)
1 crit from an axe or polearm should bring you above 75 rage. (A White crit, that is)
