Hey there,
I'm interested in making some kind of collective BiS list tool for my guild, and i'm trying to do it using wowhead classic profiler links. I realize there's no API or XML data available (that i can find) for the profiler, and i'm pretty confident i can parse the URLs to itemID's (and then to item names) if i can figure out the hash
Basically, If i start from base orc rogue, and add Bonescythe helmet, I can see that the url is:
https://classic.wowhead.com/gear-planner/rogue/orc/AjwAAVfO
If i swap bonescythe helmet for Bloodfang helmet, the url changes accordingly to:
https://classic.wowhead.com/gear-planner/rogue/orc/AjwAAUIM
no matter which helms i choose, the AjwAA part of the URL is constant and the last three characters change based on the item in the slot. In fact, if i choose a different race / class combo, i can see the same values:
https://classic.wowhead.com/gear-planner/druid/night-elf/AjwAAVfO
I've poked at some hash calculators online (since i think i know the hashed value and I already know the ItemID), but i can't seem to figure it out.
Any ideas? :)

Please choose which of these you want:
Given a gear planner URL, I want to read the hash to get the item IDs from it
Given a bunch of item IDs, I want to build a hash to construct a gear planner URL
Both of the above
Just as a high-level overview, here's what's in the hash:
Version number
Level
Talents
For each populated slot:Slot ID, with flags for whether the item is enchanted and/or randomly enchanted
Item ID
Enchant spell
Random enchantment
