How about this one:
After every dungeon run a box pops up with each players name, class, and role and beside it a checkbox. If you check the box beside the players name it will add them to your lfd ignore list (adds a seperate list specific to lfd but adding them to your chat ignore will automatically put them on your lfd ignore-is much larger than regular ignore) Box would also pop anytime someone leaves the dungeon before completion, if someone is vote-kicked, or if you zone out of the dungeon before completion. Box should not be midscreen and you should be able to function with your character without interacting with box (so it doesnt pop in your face like a vote-kick box but can be accessed when you're ready to checkmark someone and it wont mess you up if you zone out of the dungeon and right into a mob/pack of mobs)
You would of course be able to click 'ok' without check marking anyone if the group ran well.
Also possibly if you wind up on a large number of lfd ignore lists there is some action such as a 3 day lockout from lfd use.
Tbh I don't like lfd, I see where the concept was but I really feel it has been a huge factor in degrading the society of WoW to new lows. I agree with the op in that there does need to be some form of policing of it, but I don't so much agree with his suggestions for improvement. My true prefered fix would be to scrap it altogether but I don't see that happening.
A server only option would be nice too, it would probably have issues with longer queues but hey, it would still give us that option so I like it :)

I got to agree with the OP. people are trying to slip in with undergear by having pvp gear and what not in their bags. it is a cheap and screwes the entire group. THis is not WOTLK folks. you can not just PULL THE ROOM AOE LAWL! anymore. you have to be properly geared and knowledgeable. people who are idiots will not do well when they hit 80-85. even in Normals you get morons who heal in dps gear tank in dps gear and dps in tank gear its retarted and screwes up the group.
but this is all fixed simple by not puging bro,. I (thank the good lord) finally have a good guild that does H's and Normals daily so i no longer need to pug. My suggestion. if you are a good tank go to trade and say yo tank looking for guild. you will get invites im sure of it.
don't pug, and you wont find the dummys unless your guild has a few. GL.
Which takes us back to the point of newly leveled players doing WotLK heroics surrounded by people in ICC+ gear. There was never a reason to learn anything. Now they bring that lack of understanding into the new Cata dungeons and are failing miserably. Combine this with long ques and the situation becomes combustible.
I really wish Blizz would modify the LFD just a bit and allow the option for server only ques.
Accountability went a long way prior to LFD. Running with server members kept most players on the up&up and those that did act poorly were quickly blacklisted.

Yes! I agree with this so strongly its not even funny. but the issue here is there would be even longer ques for everybody. I enjoy the new system but I do miss the way it was. It just can not be done these days.
Although I have seen quite a few people looking for groups in trade and what not past month or so, so maybe it is actualy coming back.

You did the math right and saw that out of 15 groups only 8 ended with a kill and ty? 7 (almost 50% majority) ended either in fail (and I would assume some frustration) and/or uncivility. When a run take an 1.5 hours (not counting wait time) that can make for a frustrating 3 hours of gaming.
Nope, your math is wrong. I specifically said that 3 were failures; 8 were successes that ended in a 'thank you'; 4 were successes that ended without any discussion. A lack of saying 'thank you' does not make an uncivil run.
So 12 runs were perfectly fine; 3 were failures.
That works. Anything so as to reward cooperative play and punish selfish. I love the fact that some posters are attacking that goal. Sorta prooves the point, doesn't it ;-)
From what I've read, they aren't attacking the goal; they were attacking the solutions you provided as being a cure worse than the disease.
I do think that there is some problem with the social aspects of the game. I don't see them as any greater than before, though. I also
don't
think that any manner of mechanical solution will reduce it to any significant amount. I say this based on much observational data from other Internet venues. Trolling is trolling; I'll go so far as to posit that the anonymity of the Internet will
always
result in a great number of impolite/rude people.
I'd also like to thank you for ignoring the attempted constructive portion of my post earlier; if we're talking about proving points, that seems to say that you're more interested in arguing against people who try to contradict you, and ignoring constructive additions to the conversation by those people.

who would vote kick a tank? wouldn't it take less time to teach him/her the encounters and co-ordinate the crowd control, than it would to wait in queue for another?

I don't agree with 329 being undergeared you just need to know how to play I'm topping charts on my 229 rogue.
Blizz should add a minigame or something where they shoot down fire and see how long you stand in it and other things to check your skill

That's like saying the first Twilight movie is the best out of all three.
They're all f*cking sh*t anyway.

Does anyone else read the title of these threads, the first two sentences, close it for a day, then come back and see overnight it's like four pages longer, then scroll through and see who dragged it out for that long?
It's gotten to the point where I can just scan a page in seconds and just look for avatars that I recognize and a segment of the name of the OP (who in this instance has no avatar).
I don't actually
read
any of it, of course, but it's fun to go through and see who the interlocutors are and know basically what they've said without reading any posts.
Am I the only one who does this? Do I spend too much time on this forum?

I always thought mini-games should have been a part of leveling, especially CC type encounters.
As for standing in fire...it is often overlooked that latency plays a part in this. What you see on your screen at a particular moment, is not always exactly what other players see on their screen. Heigan in Naxx was notorious for killing players with high latency.
