61 Pally, ret from 1-61. Getting many a tell asking to be tanked through X instance now that more are viable at this point.
Problem is, I can't for the life of me find a suitable 1h. The blues are either the range of level 51-53 or too high at around 65-66. Purps go for the same way.
So I was thinking of cashing in a few Emblems and getting Dal'Rends, given there doesn't seem to be a suitable 1h beyond using a green (bleh).
What're Tanks using at 60 these days? I've a priest/mage 80 and am not overly experienced with tanking items.

is your best bet.
But,
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13006
would work.
To be honest... the greens from outlands far outweigh what ya can get in the vanilla world.
I would say grab highest ilvl outland green "of the champion" that you can find.

would be worse than Honor gotten blues at 61 and by 63 he would have a better tanking weapon as I linked.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42945
would be a losing bet. (thats a rogue weapon, son)

Thats a good troll.
Please keep your crap off these forums.
I gave him simple AH items.
Plus, please tell me what the hell is wrong with
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42945
?
At lvl 61
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42945
gives you 11stam 11Ap 14 crit and 54 dps
Yup, just as good as all those honor weaps... better in fact as they won't scale as he lvls like the heirloom will.
Back to school for you, son.

Not as good. Slightly worse. Meaning not best bet. Try reading comprehension before telling people to go back to school and getting your panties in a twist, daughter.
Then at 63 he replaces
the Rogue sword
and starts getting real tanking weapons while heaving spent 40 emblems for 2 levels.
Not to mention its a 2.8 speed weapon! lolol
Now take a seat -> _/

Thanks for the advice. I guess?
Didn't mean for my question to inadvertently start a fight, you pair of Mary's : P
I thought Dal'Rends would be a good plan, but few people say it's a viable, worthwhile opiton. Most of the time it gets shot down as a rogue weapon and that's it.
I'll most likely blaze through a handful of HP quests and grab the Footmans Long Sword and the Quest Shield, given the stats are comparable to Dal'Rends (and faster too. 2.10 vs 2.80). Provided someone doesnt' come up with an alternative that's a better option.
Thanks again for the input.

If you have the emblems for Dal'Rends my bet is that you have the stone keepers shards for
Thrash Blade
which is about the best tank wep you can get when leveling up to 70 (without doing heroics/raids in BC content).
Though after 70 it's most probably not going to last you since WotLK weapons have tanking stats and all that thrash blade has is the awesome chance to get an extra swing.

I never pvp, so I have around 750-800 Stone Keeper Shards.
The speed of it is nice, and the extra hit is nice, though isn't that giving up alot of other bonuses that a pve sword would give?
Sorry if it's a scrubby noob question, but again, all my experience lies with casters.

Im sorry,
Ill say it slower....
THEY
WONT
SCALE
BUT
HEIRLOOM'S
WILL.
There...
perhaps you can understand that.

Thrash blade would be a better alternative if youre gonna spend SKS. Resil is a poor mans tanking stat and 2.4 is a big improvement over 2.8

Dear halfwit,
Since you missed it the first time I'll say it once more for you;
The weapon you linked and said was the best bet, is, infact, not the best bet, for tanking, (nor healing, bro) for -any- level...
ever
. Please learn how tanking works, then you may come recommend stuff to unknowing people that want accurate information.
Please GTFO

Very nice except you wont be holding aggro very easy with that sort of thing. The weapon doesnt even need to have alot of DPS on it, it just needs to be fast.
