Stop using WoWMatrix. It can't leech off of wowinterface/curse anymore so many addons aren't available through it now.

Perhaps, I dunno, curse.com ?
Edit to add: You have to understand that Wowmatrix is more or less finished now. Curse and Wowinterface has closed the hole, that allowed wowmatrix to bypass their websites and directly download a given addon to the users harddrive. This was placing a huge strain on both websites, to the point that if they had not closed it prior to patch 3.1, both sites would have been forced to close.

Try the curse client, it recently had a new version made for the mac, it's not ideal but it's a lot better than it used to be.

They claimed that it allowed them to bypass there ads, but if you have ever used curse or wow interface both of there own clients bypass ads. If there was another site that hosted all the addons I used I would use them, and boycott both curse and wowinterface.

Actually quite a few addons are still available at least 75% of mine are available and the rest are still working.
The addons you think you are getting, are quite old.
wowmatrix is only providing you with addons that are :
providing a gpl license, therefore allowing an addon to be freely distributed as long as the source code and license is included.
Hosted on their own servers
Alot of the addons you are getting from wowace have changed their license to 'all rights reserved', which means that to continue distributing the newer version(no longer covered by the gpl) you need to contact the author for distribution.
Note that even if you (as a distributor) do receive permission to re-distribute the addon, you still have no agreement to use the bandwidth of the site hosting the addon other than as a normal user with a browser or their provided clients.
So to summarise, the only up-to-date addons you will through wowmatrix are ones providing permission for wowmatrix to do so (either pre-emptivly via a gpl license or through having siad addon hosted on wowmatrix servers).
One final note as to why many authors(including myself) choose not to have our projects hosted on wowmatrix is for two main reasons :
Conduct of Behaviour; to authors and authorised distributors in the past.
Services to Authors; lack of tools such as version control, forums, issue tracking.
If you are still unsure of the history of the situation, i suggest that you read the following :

If you spend 2-3 hours updating your addons on patch day you're doing something wrong.

Who cares why it's dead? It's dead, you have to get your addons some other way.
Your options?
1. Download the Curse Client and use it.
2. Wait for the WoWInterface client to be finished and use it.
3. Use the WoWUI client (do they have one yet?)
4. Or, browse to those sites and manually download your addons.
That's it. End of discussion.

One thing I keep seeing from the people who are &*!@ed off about WoWMatrix being effectively killed is (to paraphrase), "OMG, I can't gets all mah addons easy!" To that, I ask how did they cope before WoWMatrix?
It's not so hard to go to a site, be it Curse, WowInterface, or the like, and type in the name of an addon, and click on 'Download', is it?
Similarly, each of the sites has a 'Favourites' function, which you can set up to give you email feeds when the addon is updated.
Or you can just bookmark the pages of the addons you use, then every now and again, open them up to have a look if any have been updated. If they have, let out a /cheer and download it, if not, meh.

Prior to using WoWmatrix, I used two different clients to update my mods, WoWAceUpdater (WAU) and UICentral from WoWUI.
The move of all the Ace mods to Curse has had me seriously contemplating if I want to continue using them, as I truly think Curse is one of the most ass-backwards sites out there, and their updater client was bloody AWFUL, to the point I had to actually torch my entire UI folder and start from scratch because it kept updating with wrong versions, adding mods that were part of completely random mod packs, and installing multiple versions of the same mod in some instances!
UICentral on the other hand had some development snafu (something about a snippet of code that was copyrighted or somesuch) that caused them to yank it and it's been M.I.A. ever since.
I appreciate the arguments against WoWmatrix, but by the same token I fail to understand why nobody is able to come up with something even a tenth as good, but spend an AWFUL lot of effort bashing a product that for all its flaws actually DID WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. I absolutely cannot fathom why mod authors talk about how abused they are (supposedly) by WM but at the same time allow sites like Curse to do such a ^&*!-poor job of distributing their mods to the user base (for whom a lot of mod authors seem to hold a HELL of a lot of disdain, as if the grubby masses aren't WORTHY of sullying their mods by actually USING them).
My mom plays WoW, and guess what? I have to spend my time finding updates for her because it's a lot of work chasing down mod updates now. GJ curse and wowinterface, way to stick it to the 'man'. *rolls eyes*

Basically, As I understand it, WOWmatrix was lazy, and instead of just downloading the addons ONE time and storing them on THEIR server, they just linked directly to them. All the WOWmatrix guys would have had to do was set up one account that used the others to keep updated, and then copy the addon files onto their server.

Your suggestion here asserts that you are unfamiliar with the concept of software licensing. It's up to the author to determine how and when their addons are distributed. Not only that, but redistribution in this way undermines the authors and causes even more problems for them. There's no guarantee that WoWMatrix will always have the latest version of the addon and users downloading old (possibly buggy) versions of addons just makes for extra headaches that authors shouldn't need to deal with.
For those of you who are screaming bloody murder over how bad you think the Curse client is, I suggest you download it and try it again. The original client released after the death was WAU was truly awful. That much I'll admit. However, it's since been revamped almost entirely and works quite well.
If anyone thinks WoWMatrix disappearing is bad and you still want to stomp your feet about it, I hope one day someone you've never met comes by and leeches profits from some brilliant idea you dreamed up with an innovation of it.
lol.
wowmatrix rocked.
